This calms the viewer, but the picture also creates a sense of mystery because it is not evident on what it is. The texture is my favorite part, from the chipping paint to the smooth glass. The lines also draw one's eyes throughout the picture, and the rule of thirds is used very well, balancing the Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-3658326490499938152008-10-24T16:53:00.000-05:002008-10-24T16:53:00.000-05:00Well Abby you really nailed it with this one. I ...Well Abby you really nailed it with this one. I am a sucker for extremely good use of otherwise mundane subject matter in the creation of good composition. It appeals to me much in the same way the Ashton's Water Main picture does, in that regard. However your image is somewhat superior in that it does offer this sense of mystery. The limited cool pallet, reflection and void help create this Mr. Myershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12530820920501920071noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-31871296009084936242008-10-24T14:17:00.000-05:002008-10-24T14:17:00.000-05:00This picture seems to have no subject in this pict...This picture seems to have no subject in this picture. It was a good idea. I wish there was like a creepy eye or something in the little crack. Then it would be a very good picture. I like that you can see the wood chips of paint though. It is nice and clear. I think this picture needs some work though.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-65303838065534509782008-10-23T10:49:00.000-05:002008-10-23T10:49:00.000-05:00I really like this photo overall. The reflection in the window is odd but doesn't take from the whole image. I believe the old, abandoned look that the chipped paint, worn wood, and cold feel this picture has is perfect. The chipped paint and icy color give it a lonely appearance, while the faint reflection makes it mysterious. Aperture was I think used here, to really get the cat and bird the main focus. I get sort of a love type of mood from this. This is a good picture because it follows the rule of thirds, not a whole lot of others here do. It’s nice to see a well set up photo. It’s also neat because you can’t really tell what is in the reflection, but you know it’s there.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-83858997612917705942008-10-17T09:01:00.000-05:002008-10-17T09:01:00.000-05:00this photo is something i love to see captured. th...this photo is something i love to see captured. the sense of mystery in the photo and how it looks ice cold! i love it! :)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
