It’s also a very unique color of the flower and I think that’s what I love most about it. It’s not the typical blood red rose, but instead this color is more vintage like. I think you did an awesome job of using the rose as a single center of interest. There’s nothing else distracting the viewer from the rose. About the "genaricness" of the shot, I took a picture of a rose a while ago and Myers told me to do something unique. While I understand that it's not the best angle, I haven't seen a bunch of dead HDR shots floating around,Bryanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17844391202914277633noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-83908002367017696112008-10-14T13:45:00.000-05:002008-10-14T13:45:00.000-05:00This picture is so unique. Because of the well focus of the rose in the photo it came to be my favorite.I also like the color of the rose it is very unique, not like all of the others. Makes the rose more impressive and interesting. Also the background of the rose is bit dull, but on the other hand the background does not take the main focus off. The entire image looks old and antique, a breath of fresh air in comparison to most other PhotoShopped pictures. The rose is centered and is facing the camera dead one which makes it some what boring. I think it could have been more interesting if the shot was taken from a different angle. Due to this being an HDR photo, this color could have added that surreal effect that most HDRs have and that you can kind of seen on the bottom part of the rose. The stem kinda works to pull your eye away from the rose and probably would have been better to cut it off or try to crop it out in PS.
