The neutral color of the stones draws out the color of the vines. The photo has a good bit of detail. The vines almost look as if they are aging as they grow up the stone wall. I wish there was a focus point in this picture. It really pops from the dull color in the back ground. I like how the lines of the stones and the lines of the vine are going in different directions. At the same time, it is a bit confusing because there is no one place for your eye to automatically focus. Over all though, good job.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-82524922818654870112009-01-08T10:25:00.000-06:002009-01-08T10:25:00.000-06:00I really like this picture. They draw your eyes wonder, bringing the photo to life. The rule of thirds is used nicely with the placement of the center of the vine. Its so good that it almost looks unreal. I really love the contrast of the wall to the vine. My only critique could be to maybe get closer to the vine so there's more detail, but I also think this is a good view for the photo.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-3453655180896642102008-12-12T15:05:00.000-06:002008-12-12T15:05:00.000-06:00this vine looks like its standing and has real vol...this vine looks like its standing and has real volume instead of just being stuck on the wall and two-dimensional. Compositionally though, I think you might could have done something a little more with the shot, as you really don't have a spot where your eye is supposed to go. Maybe you could have concentrated on one vine or even one leave. Other than that, it's a really good shot.

DM-SPHSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
