As a former Special Equestrians volunteer, my first reaction was, "You know, I think I recognize that gate latch." Then of course I looked and the description, and what do you know.

Chris Mattox, SPHS '08Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03249814318714502529noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-47885238151475467302010-01-13T09:39:03.724-06:002010-01-13T09:39:03.724-06:00This photo does a fantastic job of focusing on the...This photo does a fantastic job of focusing on the right points. The chain seems linked to the top two thirds of the screen, and they are still connected by the chain which is an interesting approach. Coloring also adds to the effect.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06927667617685169381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-91384174661827904162010-01-13T09:33:19.884-06:002010-01-13T09:33:19.884-06:00I like how the lock is rusty and sharp and the bac...I like how the lock is rusty and sharp and the background is blurry.
Also when I looked closer I noticed that the screws are not rusty which contrasts the rest of the image.
AP SPHSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-50621007121442110182010-01-08T13:44:00.640-06:002010-01-08T13:44:00.640-06:00I really like how the background is blurred and it...I really like how the background is blurred and it focuses on the chain and lock. The rust shows time and old age within the photo. I think it's interesting how the chain and lock are rusty, but the screws holding the chain are not. Also, the underside of the ring is still good. Very nice photo.

~TN SPHSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-77480577569119554072010-01-08T11:30:22.086-06:002010-01-08T11:30:22.086-06:00I really, really like this photograph!! I also love the fact that you were able to take something that is typically not special and "old" and make it something that is extraordinary and beautiful. The composition is also very well thought out! good job!
-JBWAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-15444195184437816342010-01-08T10:25:12.148-06:002010-01-08T10:25:12.148-06:00I really like this photo. I also like how the colors work really well together. The rust on the chain is perfect to make the picture unified, yet allow it to pop in the places where the chain and lock weren't completely rusted. I also like how the lighter part int eh bottom is blurred Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-20866918560332096682010-01-06T14:21:20.059-06:002010-01-06T14:21:20.059-06:00I really like this picture alot.
