The thing that really gets me is the how it's crooked. Also, I'm not a fan of how there is no focal point. Good ideas, just not properly executed.

SPHSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-20255109664885187012008-10-10T12:31:00.000-05:002008-10-10T12:31:00.000-05:00I really like this photo. The lines of light remind me a bit of an old church, which is interesting as you don't often associate city alleys to cathedrals. I don't think the shot's quite level though and it's really bothering me.

Rle
SPHSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-591494908306787192008-09-26T19:09:00.000-05:002008-09-26T19:09:00.000-05:00Very nice. The picture is a bit grainy and green, but that works well with the setting to give it an old feeling. The only thing I would say is that it still looks a little tilted, although that might have something to do with the perspective.

Erica W. - ERHSAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-28553373410618220772008-09-24T14:54:00.000-05:002008-09-24T14:54:00.000-05:00im pretty sure the picture is staight on but i don...im pretty sure the picture is staight on but i dont know what picture that one criticizing dude is looking at....GREAT JOB!!!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-22242532011841038562008-09-23T22:05:00.000-05:002008-09-23T22:05:00.000-05:00hey guys- thanks for sharing your thoughts with me...hey guys- thanks for sharing your thoughts with me! i appreciate the compliments as well as the criticism. in response to one comment, the picture does seem slightly tilted. i've worked on rotating it several times and this is as close to straight as i can seem to come. in response to another, the 'he' is actually a 'she' :) and i didn't use an outside setting..my camera was on manual aperture Laurel Newporthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00353192306986267716noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-57836070619904142682008-09-23T20:20:00.000-05:002008-09-23T20:20:00.000-05:00I'm going to have to disagree. The contrast bewteen the green, and the blown out sky is really distracting. It also looks really noisey. I kind of wish that the alley was more centered, because I am seeing too much wall on the left side. It also looks like it is not aligned. It's an interesting subject though, but it K Thagardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09909009588013374955noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-9296924532648463542008-09-23T13:58:00.000-05:002008-09-23T13:58:00.000-05:00In a way this picture is kind of creepy, but I sti...In a way this picture is kind of creepy, but I still like it! I look’s very old fashioned. The green tint gives it character. I think he used an outside setting to get the natural lighting. It’s filling the frame mostly. My eyes were mostly focused on the top area. But it’s still filling the frame. I’m getting a mysterious mood from this picture. I don't know if you did that on purpose or not because it still looks nice. I also like how you adjusted the colors to green. I would change it. This photo seems to be a little over exposed; I think the photographer may have used Photoshop to enhance the colors. The timelessness of the buildings goes well with this. The small tree at the vanishing point works well as a place for my eye to come to a rest. Its diminutive presence among all the buildings eludes to an interesting theme, Mr. Myershttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12530820920501920071noreply@blogger.com
