This is a studio shot of the lovely Miss Carly. :) It's one of my photos from the project Mr. Myers described a few posts down ("Q-Tip"). They all turned out really wonderful, but this one is definitely in my top three favorites. The color of her hair and the pattern of her shirt matched the apple theme perfectly and made for a great photo!Mr. Myershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12530820920501920071noreply@blogger.com17tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-38784235779395608382011-01-21T10:14:00.000-06:002011-01-21T10:14:13.937-06:00WindmillContributed By J Bryan
I shot this last fall and only recently pulled it back out for editing. I cropped in tightly, cross-processed a curves layer, and burned the sky a little so it stood out against the clouds.Mr. Myershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12530820920501920071noreply@blogger.com27tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-16512299115058904412011-01-14T09:44:00.000-06:002011-01-14T09:44:56.367-06:00SANITY vs. FEARContributed By R Niday

I'm really proud of this picture. I took it at the park in front of Calera High School. I used the macro lens to get the close up of the coke bottle. Unfortunately, I had to sacrifice the background quality a little bit. I love the concept of this shot more than anything else. Even though this picture didn't come out the best, I love the shot itself.Mr. Myershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12530820920501920071noreply@blogger.com30tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-11970054782448709922010-11-11T20:10:00.005-06:002010-11-12T20:51:33.872-06:0010/11 Photography Classes ~ "Q-tip"Contributed by Mr. Myers
Last Wednesday, November 10th, I started a new project with my students. Here they are, divided into classes, and in the order that I shot the pictures. I gave each student one or more Q-tips to use as a prop, and I gave them two chances to get a good shot. I really love how it turned out. Now, it's up to the students to come up with an original Mr. Myershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12530820920501920071noreply@blogger.com19tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-39389663145745997182010-11-09T14:04:00.000-06:002010-11-09T14:04:21.135-06:00Look DownContributed By J Bryan
I took this picture while visiting my uncle's grave at Jefferson Memorial; they have lots of marble statues and monuments that photograph well. A double exposure of myself / a tree outside taken with a pinhole camera. I flipped the image and placed it on top of the original and changed the filter so that the bottom photo showed through, and then I added a gradient map - this is the result! I thought that this photo turned out awful, so I'm really proud of the editing I did to turn it into something great.Mr. Myershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12530820920501920071noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-40921917532762525892010-11-09T13:43:00.000-06:002010-11-09T13:43:22.379-06:00Graveyard ClearingContributed By R Collier
I took this picture in a series of pictures from a graveyard. The flowers really stood out among the bleak graves, and I love the shadows that are cast in this photo. Again, I had a long day at Moss Rock. I really liked the gnarled appearance of this tree. Even though it's practically dead, it stands strong and tall. I guess it just kind of inspired me. I not only found this picture interesting, but funny as well. I was walking around Calera High School after the ACT and noticed this park and football field. I didn't do as much editing on this picture as I am used to, but I did change the brightness/contrast, shadows/highlights, and ran an exposure layer. I thoroughly enjoyed the strange streak of standing colors on the brick of this building and I like how the picture turned out.Mr. Myershttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12530820920501920071noreply@blogger.com11tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-18859468.post-13573938699085448562010-10-21T08:50:00.000-05:002010-10-21T08:50:27.412-05:00BenchContributed by J Bryan
