Going to school Bama style

This picture was made possible from a collaborative effort between K Bomer and F Flanagan, in response to comments posted by the students from ERHS.

So what if we do?

I love the contrast, and the purposeful rugged outlines really bring out a sense of "rural". It is truely wonderful.

Seeing this picture makes me happy, I don't get the joke behind
it though... I looked through all of the previous posts to see if I
could find it... but i couldn't. It makes me sad cause i'd like to
know where the joke orientated.
Funny though.

My apologies to the nice students at ERHS. We Alabamians have a chip on our shoulder sometimes.

Lol, no big, now I just kind of feel left out, I was excited to
hear what we said. haha. I wouldn't put it past ourselves to
say something mean, we're not that bad though. >.<

Way to collaborate on the image - lighten up the rider just a bit, as the cow has sunlight on it, but the rider does not. Great idea.

Does the weather effect your ride to school (does the cow get slippery in the rain?)? And do the tough guys go barebak instead of the saddle? Is it a macho thing?

It would get pretty cold riding cows to school in WA during the winter. This morning it was about 42 degrees.

Glad we can work together to become better photographers - keep up the good work.

Nice extraction, however, there are a LOT of things that could have been done to improve this. First, the direction of the light on the rider is completely opposite of the environment. The background has a soft look, but the person is too crisp to blend in. Perspective is off too. I'm not saying this because I'm trying to start an argument. I'm critisizing for the sake of improvement.

To the defense of Bomer and Franklin...this was a "get it done quick while the boss (me) isn't looking" photoshop image. They just wanted to respond to what they thought (thanks Brett) was a slightly insulting comment they read on your blog. They can and do, great image melding when necessary. Thanks anyway for the feedback, we are enjoying getting to know you through the blog.
