This was a picture taken in California, near the Santa Cruz/L.A. area. There were some really neat elephant seals on the way, but that's not important. This picture was with a more closed aperture to get a nice depth of field. I really like the contrasts of the different terrains, such as the beach, mountainous, and lush greenery in the front. All this is topped of with a small touch of human existence shown by the gate on the bottom.

I love this. The colors and the angle of the shot is very good. I really like the landscape as well. Nice work Jack, lol.
i like this photo. You got a good high view so you can see a wide range. i also like that you got the different terrains. But the one thing i do not like is the small box shack looking thing in the bottom right hand corner of the picture. nor do i like the barb wire. i love the detail of the picture even in the distance. the cloud is a nice effect.
This photo is great. I disagree with Jay in that i think the barbed wire gives the view beyond it a kind of untouched feeling. I love the way the water meets the beach and comes up onto it in the foreground of the picture, but then in the distance washes up onto a cliff.
YAY!!! i love the vivid colors its really quite breathtaking
having said that the background is very distracting and isnt balanced with the foreground.. but nice depth of field...

This make me want to go to Cali this spring. Great vantage point to get your shot. I am on the fence about the fence, I think both points are valid. If it were mine I would probably get rid of the wire. Still nice.
I really like that picture. It is just a beautiful scene. I really cant find any thing wrong with it. Its just a wonderful picture. I hope we get to go there spring break.
Beautiful, well framed photograph of a very nice, scenic area. Good range of colors and the barbed wire, shack, and overall "human element," keep it from simply looking like the front of a brochure. Well done
I like this picture because it captured the serenity of the area. The way the picture is set up is great. I like how it shows the sky the water and the mountain. I think it would have been better if the fence wasn’t in it, but it didn’t ruin the picture.
