Iron Lung

Contributed by T Carnes (late from last Friday)

This shot is of a tin man hanging from a fence in my friends backyard, the focus is on a more less affective part of the subject and I don't know if people will like that but I tried it anyway. I post processed the shot in PS with multiple curve adjustments.

This photo wouldn't of been so interesting and eye catching if you focused on the tin man. The focus you have on it now, which to me is the crack in the fence and the buttons im assuming on the tin man. This photo was very well taken. neat angel and by using photoshop to get this outcome it makes your picture very unique and interesting.

This is a very interesting photo to say the least. The subject is very rustic and almost mysterious. The idea is really creative and I think it was carried out well. The only suggestions I would have had is focusing on the cans instead of the wood. Great job!

The colors in this picture are really cool, along with the angle. the picture is somewhat abstract which makes it really intersting to look at.

i really like this picture...the limited pallet really works out in this picture. and i enjoy the whole concept of a piece of art on a piece of art (that being a picture you did a edited in photo shop of an sculpture of a tin man). the shadows also play a nice aesthetic role.

This is a really interesting shot. I like how you turned an object that would regularly overlooked, into something beautiful. I also like the effect you added to the photo in photo shop. The blue and orange colors really bring the picture to life.

I agree with morgan. the colors and the angle are great. and even when you told me that it was a tin man I still spent a few minutes looking at it trying to figure out how exactly that worked which makes me think that someone without any knowedge of what it is would spend even longer looking at it. the only think I would change is the focus and possibly the aperture.

Very cool picture! I love the contrast of the warm color of the tin man and the cool color of the fence. It makes this a very appealing picture.

This is a really unique picture. I love how you just took a picture of some of the tin man. It shows a lot of detail of the rust and crack in the wood. I like the bottle caps also.
My name is Melinda Henkel and i go to Spain Park also.
I hope you enjoy your digital photography class. =D

I love the colors that are in this; they seems really rusted and almost antique. It was shot at a great angle, too. I love how the bold black shadows contrast against the wood. This is one of my favorite pictures on here, good job~!

This photo has a good thirds thing going for it. And I think the best thing you could’ve done for this photo was do the curves tweak.

Nice eye to see this composition instead of focusing on the whole tin man. Nice post processing to make this shot more unique. For me it is unfortunate that the focus on the bottle caps it too soft. These are important elements and needed to be in focus.
