Contributed by K Stewart

Kira is in Washington DC this week so I chose this image for her. It is one she took for our human figure abstract assignment.

i enjoy the human element of the nails and the fact that they are seemingly painted black. goes with the dark jeans well. im betting the colored version of this photo is more happy, but probably less interesting than this piece.

I love this picture. I especially like how it is in grayscale. I think that the picture was cropped correctly and between the dark painted nails, tattered jeans, and stilettos, I can imagine what I think this girl may be doing. Great job.

Great lighting in this shot. It creates a nice glowing reflection on the girl’s finger nails, bringing the hand out against the dark jeans. I would’ve liked to see it zoomed out a little bit though to see more of her shoe. Otherwise, nice focus. I like this black and white shot.

I really love this photo. I really dig the texture of the skin and the jeans. The lighting and sharpness is impeccable. I also love the imperfection of the jeans and how it’s frayed at the end.

I don’t know how I feel about this picture. I like it, but I’m not sure why. It may be because there is so much texture in the skin, or jeans, or both. Either way, Bravo.

I really like this shot, it has nice composition and balance. It should have won something in the art show.

I definitely agree with everyone else. I like the lighting and the black and white. The finger nails really give the final touch, almost like it was planned.

I like this one a good bit. The position of the hand and the foot is great. I like how it is in black and white, it almost makes it feel more sophisticated to me. I also think the lighting for this photograph is very well done.
