Iron and Wine

Contributed by B Murphy

I really like this shot. It's the last of my black and whites. I like the detail in the sky. I also like how the posts create leading lines and repetition. Hope you like it.

nice work. I didnt comment on your "Sweet Home Alabama" piece but I really like that one too. your B&W pieces are pretty spiffy. this one is great b/c of the post on the right that is right in your face. it really puts the viewer in the scene and get an idea as to the depth of the piece. The balance is also well executed. The clouds in the sky help shift the weight thrown by the close up pole and they just look cool. B&Ws may be your forte. but not your fort.

Nice Shot Blake. the only thing that bothers me is that it almost appears to have a gray haze or fog to it. it has the appearance of being dusty or something......other than that nice shot, interesting subject, nice use of the rule of thirds, and good depth of field.

this is still a great picture, but not the best of the black and white/bordered pictures you do. I think it has lower resolution. It's a little too dark and their are multiple subjects that i cant consistently lay my eyes on. i think a dof and lighter sky would help a bunch.

This is another great shot from you. Relative to your other b & w 's though, it's not as good because of the hazy sky and seemingly lower res.. It does show good repititon
