I’m not exactly sure how I feel about this picture. The hues in the sky are something I really like. However, the rest of this photo is kind of blah. Maybe there is something cool about the tree that I’m missing. But for now, it’s just a tree.
By this point in the year, trees have just become like..meh to everyone. This is well edited and cropped but it is just another tree picture good job eric.
The tree is obviously a symbolic representation of his tortured, inner soul. He finds that he is alone in his life and that no matter how high he reaches in life (the sky), he will never find another to meet him. At the same time he also recognizes that his humble origins (the ground) is his foundations and base of all his happieness in life. he started in a bright, flat field where there was life with him on his level but the more he grows and ages, the more he finds himself in the sad, blue emptyness of society (the sky again) and apart from the happieness he knew in his early years... or maybe its just a simple, symetric picture of a tree with a complimentary color scheme ment to be pleasing to the eye... maybe.
Good Shot Eric I like the way you caught the tree in the sunlight to give it and the field around it a kind of golden hue. I also like the way you left some sky at the top to give it a sense of space.
I am disagreeing with some people, who critiqued this picture. I think that is a nice picture. I really like the color of the tree and the grass. That color gives the picture a sad and lonely feeling. The picture was perfect if you crop it a little more. For the rest good job!
great tree...i wish the sun wasnt setting on it and there were some neato clouds in the background. also the uneveness of the grass doesnt bode well with me. but overall i really like this photo. and im sure i feel that way, too.
I like this picture because it is so simple. Not only that it's simple and well done. I like the light that you captured and the contrast of the warm hue of the ground with the cool blue of the sky. The positioning is a little awkward though I wish there was either more sky on the sides or less sky above the tree. I really do like the simplicity of this image, and I think maybe sometimes simple concepts make for the best photos. Oh and thanks for the comment.
This picture is really cool. I love how the sky is so bright but subtle and allows the viewer to put all there attention to the main focus point. It’s simple and lets the viewer figure out what the photographer was thinking when they took this shot.
It looks like something out of a movie. You didn't use the rule of thirds and the picture is quite boring. The lighting is really yellow. You should have used a different filter. The essence is dreary like rotting since the tree is changing colors but its color is putrid. Next time, try a different angle, lighting, subject, and life.
This photo has a lot of potential, i like the framing of the tree in the center, but the colors are a bit dull..i would suggest maybe converting it to black and white and bumping up the lights and darks

Tree or not, i think this is a very well done picture. The colors are perfect along with the spacing between the tree and the sky.

this is lovely eric.
it looks like it should be in a magazine or even a clip of a movie.
i love the colors and everything.

These comments are all rather too complex for such a simple picture.
Next time
