119 Night

Contributed by J Brinkerhoff

I took this photo while experimenting with longer exposers. I set the exposure for 15 seconds. I let the camera still for about 10 seconds, with the guy in the photo with the light on, then I swiveled it for the remaining 5 seconds. The lights then create the lines across the photo. I personally really liked the photo, but the opinions my be held different elsewhere.

i have to say i really wasnt sure about this picture at first but i really like it the shade of green in the grass is very pungent. it is also very kinda cutting edge for a lack of better wording. you dont really see stuff like this. like it lots

I like this night shot. It has interesting light movement. And the glow on the grass is interesting. You did a good job with white balance as well.

The lighting is very interesting in this picture. I like how it is just the light in movement and everything else is still, like the light pole on the left. Good job Experimenting.

my favorite thing about this piece is that guy in the middle who I didnt really notice till like my 3rd glance. weird. that, and the colors and its asymmetrical"ness." Also, I like how you left the blank bars on the top and bottom. thats pretty cool.

this is a cool photo. i like the lines of light of course. i am not so fond of all the black above and below the picture. i think you could crop that out. i think your subject matter and use of light is excellent. it is interesting. I like how you have different colors of light. I see lots of reds and greens in this photograph.
