Contributed by M Crumbley

I took this shot during band class i was bored we weren't playing so i got my camera out of my backpack and started taking shots. This one was my favorite and the choice of a few other people. I hope you like it.

congratulations mitchell, you took a good picture. the reflections and the monochrome compliment each other really well. some things need to be more in focus obviously, but that's about the only fault i can see. i enjoy the tiny details that exist in a large quantity of this picture. the lighting is very good too.

Very nice shot.
The Black and white for this photo was a good choice, perfect lighting, and i know you were worried about it being grainy...well its not grainy.

I like this. its cool. if I had money to spare, this might actually be a piece that I would buy.

The color palate (or lack of color?) is what makes this piece. it deffinatley wouldnt give off the same mood if you had left the color gold and what-not so, good job there.

This is a good picture man. i like the composition. you have a good bit of geometric shapes in this photo as well as lines. i like how things are very shiny that adds white. then things are dark which adds black to the photograph. I do like the angle of the photo. i look down the photograph and i see lots of lines. I like the circles and lines mixed into the photograph. So overall this is a very good photograph. and yes i know its a French Horn. I remember the good ole days.

Excellent, it fills the frame and has a very interesting subject. To be perfectly honest, I'm not entirely sure what the subject is. I assume it's some kind of instrument, but beyond that...also, very good decision to put it in black and white. I don't know what it would like in color, but probably not as good

Nice shot Mitchell. the photo really moves the viewer's eye across the whole piece. i like the grayscale too. could be more in focus but thats about it.

wow david spade a great picture. The black and white really compiments the subject matter by making it elegant. Nice composition and point of view. It has nice leading lines too

This is a really interesting subject. I’ve messed around with instrumental pictures but now I’d like to try again more seriously. I like the reflections. The only thing I might try to clear up is the focus as a whole. Otherwise I think it’s an awesome shot.
