Drip Drop

Contributed by J Morris

I took this picture in the courtyard of Spain Park High School. I saturated the colors a good bit in this picture. I also took the grey sky out and added one with a bit more blue in it. I like the colors and the movement of the picture. I took this picture at an angle so i did have to rotate it around. I also did a good bit of cropping to this picture. Let me know what you think.

I’m not sure what you were trying to accomplish with this photo. The overabundance of blurry raindrops is killing this picture. We need something to look at.

This is basically what I see when I look outside right now. We’ve had a lot of rain! As far as the photo, I don’t think it’s very special. Yes, as I mentioned, it shows the downpour of rain, but it doesn’t do anything else. The angle is boring and it doesn’t follow any rules of composition. The colors are dull also. If you want to show the rain, I’d suggest finding an object covered in raindrops and shoot that in a more creative way.

Hmmm yeah. This seems like a Washington photo for sure. But maybe a more appropriate approach to the subject would be best here. Instead, it’s like looking at it and saying “yea. That’s what it looks like when I look out the window in my Pre Calculus class”… ya know?

yeah this shot is ok... its kinda plain with no subject the rain really takes away from the shot itself in my opinion.

It great that you are able to see the rain falling but then the background picture is a kind of blurry. I can understand that the rain is blurry but then that background shouldn’t be. This picture makes me kind of sad because rains make everyone feel lonely and vulnerable inside.
