The Lookout

Contributed by M Crumbley

We were in Rome and we came to this look out and we just looked......aaaoouutt. Cross the city from our little spot on the hilltop. Ooooh, it was soo pretty from up there. We just talked about how the lights from the buildings and cars, looked like reflections of the staaaars. that shine out so pretty and bright....that nighhht. The daytime of the Night.

LOL. I like that song. The pictures not as good, but still decent. Its just too dark near the well, but that 'd be hard to change i guess.

This shot is ok but my problem is that the well and its topper is really fighting with the complex background of buildings for my attention. I like both parts of the image but maybe not together. I think that a bit of blur on the buildings and light on the well and you would have a better shot.

I would love to go to Rome! But this photo might not be the best representation. I don’t know what you were going for exactly, but my attention goes to the houses in the background instead of the thing on the left, which I think was supposed to be the focus. The lantern up in the left hand corner is a bit distracting to the eye, as is the lamp post in the lower/middle left. This photo also looks a little overexposed and foggy. You used the rule of thirds well, however. Nice job with that.

Cool shot, could be better. There is a good use of the foreground, middleground, and background rules. I wish there had been a sunset or better clouds in the sky, maybe black and white would turn out cool. Neat shot but needs work

I like this picture. Its a nice blue sky. This is a cool picture of Rome. i like the little well thingy. I like the buildings that you can see there in the distance. I like the greens and the yellows mixed together. Im not to sure about how you cropped the picture. The well is there on the left side of the picture. But i have not seen your original to be able to tell. So overall this is a real good picture.

I like this picture. I like how there is something close then somethings far away. I would have blurred the background buildings a little bit more and i would have sharpened the well a little bit more as well as turn the brightness up a little bit. Other than that i think its a really good picture.
