Contributed by L Jett I took this photo for our outside photography assignment "Old" I did a levels adjustment and I edited the saturation to bring out the rust.

I think this is a very good interpretation of "old". The lighting in this photo is magnificent and it is clear and the ISO levels were fantastic. I love hoe much the red color in the rust stood out against the baby blue of the bug. The image is also framed well. The curve of the wheel well coming through the photo as well as the curves the back of the bug makes are great diagonals across the image. Great Job!
This is a really unique shot. I love the contrast between the fading blue paint on the car and the antique rust. The rusted bumper in the bottom left corner also adds some nice contrast to the image. Overall, a really great photo. But I might have taken the shot at a slightly different angle, so that more the the back is visible.
This picture really captured my attention. My favorite part of the photograph is the composition of the car. I also really like the color contrast between the paint of the car, and the rust chipping off of it. The lighting of the photograph is excellent as well. Keep up all the amazing work.
I would like to agree with everything that Ashley Vincent above has said. The lighting in the photo is very well done, the only minor thing would be that the rim on the wheel to show a little more. GREAT JOB!
This is a fantastic photograph Laura!!! The curving lines on the car really move the viewers eye around the whole piece. The rust is distributed well throughout the piece. It is not just overwhelming in one section drawing all of the viewers attention to one segment. Furthermore the lighting is great! it really gives the photograph depth! great job!
I really love this photo! Who knew that such beauty could be found in a beat up, rusting vw? It has great leading lines and really good contrast. I think you did a really good job choosing what parts of the car to include and what to cut out. The orange color of the rust looks just a little unrealistic to me, but to be honest if you hadn't told me you adjusted the saturation, I probably wouldn't have noticed. Great job!

I love the way the rust contrasts with the white paint. It's a good shot, I just wish their was more to it.
