Flying High

Contributed by J Morris

I got this picture of my friend JB in a jump he made on our ski trip. I liked the shot that he was in the middle of the picture. I like that his ski is parallel to the line the trees make on the mountain side. You can also see him looking down for the landing. I know that he does not have poles. Well he does not ski with them. I think its a pretty good shot. I did a levels adjustment and I did a saturation effect on the sky. Tell me what you think.

This is pretty sweet Jay. The colors are really nice in this and the angle is pretty good. I really like how your friend is caught in the middle of the shot and i also really like the details of the landscape behind him. Good job.

This is a great picture,I like how this is an action shop. Like you said I like the parallel of the ski's on the tree line. Overall I do think this was a well done shot. Good Job

i dont like this picture as much as the bisons. unlike that picture, this has no real interesting subject. the subject of the skier being centered hurts more than helps. also that big mound of snow blocks the subject of the tree line which i want to see more of...but nice sky.

I like the action, clarity, and color of this image. The only thing I don't like is the crop. I wish that there was less frame on the right side because if there was more frame on the left it would give him space to gravel into. I also would maybe consider cropping it off a little on the bottom to exaggerate that motion.

Now heres a better shot from Jay. very cool sky, the red jacket helps contrast the blue sky. obviously a good timed shot. some motion blur would be nice. the composition is also very good. nice use of the rule of thirds. good work jay. go braves!
