Please don't bury me

Contributed by W Hopkins

I took this photo for our "old" assignment. The subject is a couple of very old tombstones at an old grave yard near my house. The most recent tombstone in the grave yard was from the early 1910's, and i found that the old weathered and crooked tombstones made for a neat subject.

This photo is alright. The lighting on it is too bright and the angle isn't very good. The actual set up of the picture is nice, such as placement of the graves. The cars in the background take away aswell. Overall its just O.K.

Overall I like this photo. I like how the tombstones are not straight up and down. I think that the back tombstone is a bit overexposed. I think it would look better if the cars in the background were not there. It also might look a little better if the photo was taken at night, that way there would be a more dark feeling to match the feeling of the tombstones.

The look of the tombstones is perfect for your old assignment. You used a pretty good angle and I like this pick.

Very cool picture. Good idea, don't see many shots of graves, kinda creepy. nevertheless good exposure and good point of view. i like that you found some headstones that were off centered, makes the shot unique. i like it.

dead people are pretty old for the most part.. i guess. I like the photo, but it could use a bit more editing, a possibly a smaller crop

I guess this is a pretty good picture. I wish it was focused a little more on the tombstones and didn't include the traffic in the background. I also think it needs a little more in the way of color, or a little less. Very cool subject though

nice use of the s-curve to move the viewers eye around the piece. the horizon line is crooked and the cars are a bit distracting but a decent shot altogether. try making it grayscale.
