Gone Fishing

Contributed by L Jett

I took this picture when I was out taking photos for one of our assignments. I thought the boy fishing would look good in grayscale.

I really like this photo... its very simple but not boring. not having him directly in the middle is great in my opinion. i may have gotten the end of the fishing pole but i still like it.

I do have to say I like this photo. I like how the little boy is more towards the left of the photo, and the rod takes the rest of the main focus. It really makes your eyes move throughout the photo. I also like how the boy just looks so calm and happy to be fishing

I like the simplicity of the content of this image, and I like the detail in the light and shadows created by the dock. The only thing I would say is a tighter crop on the left side of the frame to really create that leading line from the dock to the boy, and maybe trying the shot from the other angle so the background would be the lake instead of grass and trees.

The subject matter of this picture is so whimsical. It truly captures the innocence of childhood. The composition of the picture however is a bit stagnant without use of the rule of thirds. While the bridge creates a nice use of line prehaps there is too much of the bridge shown. A tighter crop would solve his minor problem (if you would call it that).
AIGHT PEACE!

What I like about all of your photography is that you always choose the oppurtune moments to put into grayscale. I don't know when was the last time I saw a Jett shot that had the full color spectrum. Then again, I've also never seen a BAD Jett shot. Continued goodness
