Desoto Fall

Contributed by J Bailey

I took this picture in Desoto State Park in a random little area off the path of a trail. I like the horizontal element of the water flowing and how the picture captures the motion of the water. Unfortunately the surroundings pale in comparison. This is one of those pics where I wish I could have known that I wish I could go back and retake except I would have destroyed all those surrounding bushes, especially the one covering the source of the fall.

I really like the way you were able to get the motion of the water. I also like the colors in the picture. The brown, greens and greys go well together. I wish the focus of the picture could have been a little better, but overall it is a good picture.

I like this picture, i also like the horizontal water fall, and the little cave is very mysterious, and dark,is pretty cool, so great contrast and focus and exposure.

The water is making my eye flow down the stream. Everything is not in focus. It might have been better if everything is in focus. Nice shot overall.

ehhh its okay jack. i like the subject but i think a better angle and more vibrant colors would have made this a really good shot.

cool picture jack. i have seen this fall as well. it has more water coming down it than when i saw it. i saw it during the drought. well i do like the picture. i agree that bush needs to be chopped down. I like the color contrast that the white ripples of the water makes against the dark colors of the rocks. so thats neat. I do like how the water makes your eyes go from one corner of the picture to another corner of the picture. i also like how you have the blackness there under the rock. kinda makes you wonder what is under the picture there.

cool shot jack bailey. interesting composition and subject. the direction the water flows through the composition brings the eye through the middle. nice motion blur and cool moss on the rock, nice job jack.

it's pretty cool as far as waterfalls go. I agree with Jade on this one. The angle could be better. Nonetheless, it reminds me of myer's motion water shot. I like that one and I like this one too.
