Pimp My Ride

Contributed by E Schmelzle

Took this picture of a rusty truck thing that I found. I seriously feel sorry for anyone who has to drive this thing.

I like the simplicity of this photo. The blue is an excellent color, I wish the red was more vibrant, but then again it kind of gives a cool fading effect. Nice work!

the fact that I didnt know that this was a truck did not keep me from liking it. very nicely done. I approve. the only thing is that the piece is too flat. you should have leaned a little more to the right so you could get the truck going off into the background. but regardless, I like it anyway.

i like how you're a caring person shmelz. And like CJ, i didn't know this was a truck either. It does run a litle flat, and a good angle would have been nice, but the colors look well together. i wish it was more cropped and into the chipped paint and everything without so much of the greenery behind it, but then again that might take away too much from this photo.

I'm with the last two posters... it leaves me curious as to better angles and compositions.

This picture contains a lot of elements that make it interesting while keeping it simple. The rust, spray paint, and grass add a lot of character to the shot. The only suggestions I could give you are to maybe bring out the colors slightly, but at the same time it could retract from the mood you’re going from.

I like this picture. It has good color contrast with the blue, green, and yellow. The run-down look it has also helps to the over all effect.

This is a pretty cool shot, but I with the bottom was cropped out a bit more. I love the colours of the truck and the cracks in the paint. The graffiti also adds contrast and has some nice, smooth lines.

I wish there was a tighter crop on the urban decay of the truck. The analogous color scheme of hte blue and the green sort of take away from the photo. since it is such a simple photo as much emphasis as possible needs to be placed on the truck. Nice subject matter though

This is a very interesting photo. The colors work together well and i like how the graffiti brings the viewer in with its contrast. I like the way the chipped paint contrasts with the grass. I wish some of the top of the photo was cropped off because it is a bit distracting

Schmelzle, this photo is fantastic! i love the texture and color of this shot. the sharpness of the picture is great too. i dont think it is too flat at all, i think the angle you chose gives it a bit of an abstract feel. good work!

the grafiti and the sign has the potential to be a nice abstract time. i can hardly tell that it's not a truck to begin with. i like the color of it all and how it was naturally rusted and become part of the environment. overall the picture has a lot of character.

I like this shot man. I really like the way that the graffiti juxtaposes itself right next to the "danger: poison" sign on the back of the truck. almost like it's calling the graffiti poison

I like how you immediately find the focus of this photo and how white balance was used appropriately. I love the vibrant aqua tone of the truck and how it contrasts with the red graffiti on it. My favorite part of this photograph is the “antique” essence that I feel when I observe this photo.
