I really like this arrangement of items. The lighting is dim which gives it a melancholy mood. The pink/redish roses are countered by a similar color at the bottom of the piece. Good work balancing that! I also like that you can only see a segment of some of the objects you used. This keeps the viewers eye looking at the piece trying to deceiver what it is they are looking at. Awesome!! -AC SPHS
Cool studio pic. The color of all of the objects fit well together and gives the shot a warm tone. Good focus and contrast from light areas to dark. Good exposure. Nice shot.
this is probably one of my favorite shots from the paint with light assignment. i like the way your space was used. its hard not to have a lot of negative space with this assignment but you did a great job with all your props and lighting. good work.
I love the choices in this photo. The objects remind me of a love and war movie. Its amazing how photos can say so much. I like how the lighting isn't too harsh and too soft. It's just right and really brings out the details in the objects. You did a great job!
I like the setup of this shot. The objects go nicely together. The sharpness of the gun balances nicely with the softness of the flowers. The color scheme is also good.
I like this shot, mostly just because of what your collection of stuff here expresses. The helmet makes it seem not so much like a war scene, but more like its recording someone painting a picture about war. Which seems almost to be what your whole project was in the first place
This high school photoblog is the product of the photography students at Spain Park High School in Hoover, Al.
Students take turns posting one of their images along with a brief explanation each school day. The students also trade critiques with their peers from other schools around the country (see high school blog links below).
We are always looking to expand our participating schools. If your photography program starts a blog, email Mr. Myers so he can add your link to our growing list. emyers@hoover.k12.al.us
Feel free to give constructive criticism or complements if you see an image you enjoy. You can leave an anonymous comment, but please sign your initials and your school's name.

It seems pretty good, it is just not balanced that well, to much in the photo.. maybe
