134

Contributed by P Glenn

So I took this picture downtown, hoping to get a good shot with an extended shutter speed. I opened the shutter for as long as possible, which turned out to be only around 2 seconds with my aperture around f5 or so and an ISO of 100.

I really like how you can really see the shutter speed effect and how the graffiti just pops out. The lighting is ok could’ve been a little brighter for my taste but nothing you could do. This photo is a well done picture.

I didn’t know what the main subject was until I read your explanation. You have to much of the building or whatever that thing s. it only gives a little bit of what you were supposedly trying to do. To me I just don’t like this photo. Maybe try and get more of the street next time.

I really like this picture. I mainly like it, because of the sharpness and focus of the electrical box. I like the blurred background too. The moving traffic lights is a nice touch as well. The composition and color scheme is nice also. Overall it is a great photo. Good job.

I love the movement in this picture! I like how you used a long exposure to capture the blurred lights of the car. It gives more movement and action to the picture. I also like the contrast between the cool, blue metal and the warm, red lights in the road. I also think that the interesting lines of the graffiti make the picture more interesting. Good job!

I like how a long shutter speed was used to make the car moving by blurred but the subject in front in focus. I like how the number 134 is big and in focus so it stands out from the rest. I also like how the rule of thirds was used so movement could be shown behind the subject to make it more interesting. This is a nice shot!!!

This photo is really neat. I like how half the photo is blurred while the rest stays in focus. It creates a very interesting effect. I like the motion blur the car creates, and how the lines lead you to the box that's in focus. Great shot!

I really like this shot. The shutter speed effect is very good. The contrast of the colors is good too. I also really like how the background is blurred. All in all this is a very good photo.

This is so cool! I love how the graffiti captures your attention then the movements of light take you across the screen to see the other highlights in the picture. Good composition, good colors :]

This photo has very strong colors, and an amazing focal point! i love that you opened the shutter for "as long as possible," It was most definatly worth it! The strong grey-blue, in the foreground compliments with the 'lindsey' sign in the background very well. I would just suggest to comment, or state what emotion you were attempting to generate from this photo, so i could understand your meaning better! good job!

I love how you were able to capture a still, solid picture that also has a lot of movement. Taking the 'Smith' sticker may help the photo a lot. Also, I love the blue-pink contrast!

The composition of this picture is really interesting. I like how the electrical box serves as a vertical dividing line for the photograph. Also I think it was a smart idea to focus on the electrical box. The graffiti is what my eyes are drawn to and it adds well to the overall downtown theme of the picture. The horizontal light lines on the left side of the picture give a motion blurred effect.

Great shot. I'm a sucker for a good graffiti shot, and the simplicity of this tag really makes it a great shot. Plus, the pure black of the tag against the dark bluish gray of the cable box looks really cool. The other thing that I noticed, and really enjoy about that image, is the taillights of the car that made a line across the road due to the extended exposure. It gives the photo a nice secondary focal point. One suggestion I would make though is I would go into Photoshop and try and remove a bit of the blue in the photo. It does have a bit to much blue in it. Other than that, it is a really tag shot and I like it a lot. MFS @ SPHS

I Love this picture. I can tell that you used a tripod so that the wall wouldn’t be blurry but you can clearly tell that there are cars passing by in the background. It looks like there is just enough lighting to get the graffiti to not be dark.
