Christmas Memories

Contributed by M Tanner

I thought this was a decent shot, even though Christmas is over. I thought the light looked pretty cool behind the snowman. I adjusted the shadows and ran a smart sharpen. Let me know what you think!

Oh this is adorable! I love the backlight and that the snowflake goes along with the same look as the snowman. This only thing that is a little distracting is that the tip of the nose is slightly out of focus. But nothing major. I also really like how it fades from light to dark! Great job with lighting (:

I really gotta give you props for getting this good of a shot with this kinda lighting. It's really hard to take pictures of transparent objects because the lighting is usually hard to figure out, but you nailed it. I also really like how the orange on the snowman's nose stands out. It really gives my eye something to focus and I like that it's in the middle of the shot. I also like how the backround has a sort of gradient to it. Overall, great picture.

I love this! The snowman is adorable and the lighting is incredible. The orange really draws the eye to the center while the light change in the background and the angle of the snowman pull you through to the left. Amazing photo!

This is a great photo. You did a great job bringing out the objects with little lighting. I like how everything is white and clear but his nose is red. It really attracts the attention of your eye. Great job, keep up the good work.

This is pretty impressive. The way you managed to get an awesome shot with a transparent object is quite good. I also like how the snowman is the main focus of the shot. The lighting is also very well done. I like how the snowman is in front but also how the background seems to flow through him. This is a very good photo.

I think you did a great job with the lighting and focusing in on the snowman. I would have cropped it in a bit tighter because the object at the top left is a bit distracting. Everything else in the background is out of focus and it's in focus. Other than that this is a great, unique shot.

This photo is an excellent photo considering the lighting factor for the transparent object. The lighting in this picture is excellent, I also think that the way the light in the background transitions from light to dark is perfect. I enjoy how the red orange nose of the snow man sticks out, it captures your attention and focus of this picture. You applied the rule of thirds excellently here, well done. JRieves SPHS

This photo has a nice and unique, wintery look. The frosty looking sweater and ice-like snowman coupled with the orange nose and the yellowish orange light in the back of the picture give it a nice feel. The position of the camera and the warm, light left to cold, dark right give it nice composition. The snowman looking to the right also helps to lead your eyes around the picture. Good job on taking a very interesting photo.

This is a very good photo! The first thing that I like about it is that it gives such a warm feeling, even though the object clearly represents something that is supposed to be cold! I think that the nice, yellow-orange tint really helps it! The lights are really neat additions, and really make the picture what it is, and that is: a MASTERPIECE!

This is a very good photo. The lighting in this picture is great. The scarf on the snow man is neat, and also the ice as the snowman and the transparency of the snowman is cool and unique. SPHS TS

I like the cold, winter-feeling behind this photograph. I like how the shallow depth of field allowed the snowman and left side of the background to be in focus, but it gets blurry as it goes off to the right. Although the snowman is in the center of the screen, I think it works for this shot because the background is smaller and disappears to the right. I get a happy, snow day feeling from this photo and it was nicely done. Good job!
