South Highlands Stained Glass

Contributed by L Hooks

I took this photo at an old church downtown. I liked the different shapes of the stained glass windows, and the contrast between the glass and the stone of the church. I sharpened it, ran a levels adjustment, and also adjusted the brightness of the photo.

I like the variety of shapes in this photo. One thing that really stands out to me is how tight it is cropped so only parts can be seen. I also like the contrast of the dark windows against the light stone. This makes me think of an old, classic church and I like it a lot!!

This picture has such interesting shapes, curves, and lines. I like the shine on the glass, too. It looks antique and rustic. This is a very good photo, with a nice choice of subject. The contrast of the colors also adds appeal.

I really like the way you took this photo off-center (or cropped it that way), so that it is not the usual and expected shot. It is quite crisp and the colors are nice. Nice job.

Wow, this is a good photo. What church is this? I love the dark stained glass. The only thing I would have changed is that I would have liked to have given the picture a darker tone. Other than that, I like it.

I really like the focus of the shot. It's cool how it's just about one part of larger unseen image. The angle of the shot is nice too. I also really enjoy what you did with adjusting it and brightening it. I would stop and look at this picture if it was in a photo gallery.

This picture is excellent. I love the variety of shapes in this stained glass as well as the church. the lighting is pretty good for this type of picture. The sharpness of this picture really sticks out to me the most. Another thing is the lines that lead up the church building. Over all an excellent picture good job. JRieves

I really like this shot. The colors of the glass and frame are great together and leads my eye throughout the shot. The focus of the shot is absolutely perfect for this photo. I think the lighting was good for this photo but i like the levels and brightness adjustment also. Overall, this photo is excellent. - TW

This photo is extremely entertaining to the eye. I like how you got like a third of the upper circle and then parts of the pattern below it. It’s a fantastic abstract shot. I love all of the shapes involved.

The contrast of the cream colored framing and the blue tinted glass is perfect and attracts the eye. The lighting looks very natural too.

Very unique eye for shooting.
Great work!
