Wink

Contributed by L Newport

This is a picture I took in the studio for our human abstract assignment. I cropped in, converted the image to black and white, adjusted the exposure and gamma correction, and played with levels and curves.

I really like this photo. I think it is really cool how you really have to look at it to see what it really is. REALLY!

I think you could have added a little more color to the picture though because there is not much detail and it gets boring really fast.

Took me a little bit to actually notice what it was. I love this picture though. I like how the background is all white. That makes this picture really stand out. And how you got so close and kept it so clear you did a fantastic job! Great shot!

I have no clue what this is, but yet it is so intriguing to look at! The contrast is amazing, and I think the fact that it is in black and white really adds to it. It really separates the different colors, without hurting the eyes. Overall, this is a crazy awesome picture! Great job! (:

I like this image because it is very detailed and sharp. I like the glamour of the black and white, but at the same time it does slightly bore me. It is great that you must look closely to really really see what it is this photograph is of.

I really like this picture, and I think that the subject is very interesting. The black and white makes it more crisp, and also more interesting to look at. While it does flow, after the initial intrigue, it does get a bit boring. It might have been a little bit better with a little color, but then maybe not. All in all, a good picture.

this image is really attracting it attracted when i first saw it , i wanted to know what it is and what it is about, when i first saw i did not know what it is but after looking at it really good i was so impressed because i didn't know i will like it. This picture is very detailed and sharp you could see every detail of it, i like the black and white it gives the picture more brightness and glamour. i don't think you should add more color to it because you will just worsen it. Good Job :)

I can't figure out what this is, but that's probably what makes the picture so interesting. I like the black and white, because I think colors would have been distracting. I think this is one of those pictures that will drive me insane to figure out what it is. Good job.

This is a really interesting photo. I love how the focus is very exact and how one side of the eyelash is in focus and the other is out of focus. It is diffidently very abstract and it would have taken me awhile to figure out what it was had you not said it was an eye. I think the black and white choice was a good idea and that this looks much better this way than I think it'd look in color. The only thing I would have one differently would be that I would have placed the eyelash at the far right so that the only object in the picture is the eyelash. The eyebrow kinda lures the viewer away from the perfect eyelash. Other than that though this is a great shot and I really like it. MFS from SPHS

I love this image. I love that it is black and white; it makes it more dramatic. At first i didn't know what the subject of picture was because of the angle, but when i really looked i could tell it was an eye. It makes me think of Dali's "Persistence of Time", but this image is so much cooler because it is real. The angle is perfect for this image, and the black and white works very well for the subject. I think the way the eyelashes start to fade out makes the image dreamy, which is really cool.

I really like this photo. I like how I have to question what the subject is. I like how you made it black and white because I think it gives the picture a more personal feel to it.

This is a really strange photo to me buts its really appealing. I really like the strong contrast of lights and darks without making the photo look choppy. I feel like this photo adheres 100% to the intention of the prompt of Human Abstract. You can tell that there are human qualities in the photo but its hard to determine the angle etc. It abstracts what was once and eyelash and brow into this unique photo.
