DOG

Contributed by K Schweer

I took this during the summer. I liked how the camera automatically blurred the background and the focus is on the nose of the dog. The wetness on the nose is even visible.

I like how this photo's focus is on 'the dogs' nose. The colors are great in the blurred background and gives it a great sense of depth. The only critique of some sort I could give is that there would be more of the 'kids' face showing like more of the eye or part of the nose (just a different viewpoint or perspective). Overall it's great and extremely natural. I also LOVE how the dog's eye is highlighted and one ear is bent. :)

I really like this picture! First of all, the dog looks adorable. Second, the blurriness of the background is really cool. It immediately draws the eye towards the subject, which is the dog. The fur looks really crisp and it gives the illusion that the dog is looking directly at the viewer. I also like how the pink blob in the background leaves room for the viewer to imagine what it could be. When i first saw it, i figured it was a flower, but that just might be my viewpoint. I've always tried to take pictures like this, but i cant never get the focus on the dog because they're always moving! Nice job. -CE

This photo is a bit blurry and you could have used rule of thirds more. But cute dog.

I really like this picture. I love dogs. I like how this photo is blurred in the background and how the dog is very focused. The dog is clearly the subject. The blur gradually emerges and the dog's muzzle is very focused. The fur looks so fluffy. I think it's very cute how one ear is tilted. That's so adorable! What kind of dog is this? It looks like a toy terrier.

I love dogs, and your dog is so adorable! I like how you can see the wetness of the nose and how the dog is looking right at the camera. I also like how the dog is the main focus of the picture is the dog.

this picture is adorable, the puppy is more in focus & everything in the back is a blur, which is really neat.

I LIKE HOW THE BACKGROUND IS NOT AS CLEAR AS THE PUPPY. YOU CAN TELL WHATS THE FOCUS IN THIS IMAGE. YOU CAN TELL THAT THE NOSE IS WET. I LOVE IT. I WOULD PUT A DIFFERENT BACKGROUND TO MAKE IT MORE INTERESTING.

This picture is adorable! I love how the camera already blurred out the background. The first thing I look at in this picture is his nose, because it is very shiny. The puppy looks like he is smiling at you if you look at his mouth. Cute picture. sphs

I love the dog! It's very cute and adorable. The part I really like about this picture is the lighting. It makes it look very professional because of the soft focus. Ways that you could improve the picture is to crop out the face and fill the frame more with the dog because the face in the picture makes it look a little bit awkward. But overall, the picture is nice and the dog is too cute.

Great subject, very cute and photogenic. I agree with the above comment about the crop, due to the lack of features on the face it does distract a little. Too me the main issue is that you missed the focus point a little. The eyes are a bit out of focus and in almost every instance of a picture of a face, the eyes should be sharp. Thanks for submitting your image. Keep clicking.

I love this picture. The dog is adorable, and I love the depth of field in the picture. It immediately pulls you to the main subject of the photo. Although the picture is great, the main subject is a bit off focus. But it's still an amazing picture, and I love it. A.S.-SPHS

I absolutely love this picture! first of all the puppy is so cute!!! I also love how the dog is really clear with the background that is blurry. It makes more characteristics of the puppy show up that you wouldn't normally see in a regular shot picture.

I Like this picture because it is a moment frozen in time kind of thing. The dog’s ear was up and it just happened to be looking toward the camera so you froze that moment in time. The face in the background is out of focus which makes the puppy the main visual focus. The lighting seems a little dark since the dog has dark fur but it has some brighter colors in the background which makes up for that.
