Plant in the Water

Contributed by T Williams

I took and compiled an HDR of this plant. It looked very interesting to me, so I decided to try out an HDR. I think it turned out very nice.

I really love this photograph. I love nature and how it can be turned into a magnificent photograph, so I naturally loved this photograph. A.S.-SPHS

I like the hard focus contrasted with the soft reflection in the water. I like the soft lighting, it must have been early when you took the picture.
It makes me feel really calm. I really like the picture.

I think the picture is really cool because of the reflection of the plant in the water. From afar I thought it was just a huge plant. The water doesn't look real either. I wonder where he took the picture. Overall, the picture makes me feel peaceful, mainly because I just ran down the halls and am really tired, so sitting down is nice, but this picture tells me to calm down.

I like the way the reflection of the leaves are very clear. I also like that the water is very clean looking. It also does a good job of showing space. Good job!BF sphs

I like how the plant is in the water and the water is still. Also the reflection is very well done. It also seems like you can see whats in the water where the reflection is.

I really like the reflection of this picture. The color contrast of this picture is really interesting. It would look better if this picture has a little more light.

This photo makes me feel calm. I like the reflection of the plant in the water. It looks very soft reflecting off the water and very precise out of the water. This picture reminds me of an early morning shot. Nothing has disturbed the water and it's a relaxing feeling to look at this photo. Nice job.

I like this photograph because of the careful amount of light, and reflection. The color agreement is amazing, and it looks really artistic and gives that impressionism feel to it. Great photograph.

I think that this is a interesting picture also. I love the reflection in the picture. I like how the water looks so calm, to where you can see whats under what in the reflection.

I love the reflection of the plant on the water and how sharp the photo is. But there is nothing to focus on.

This picture is cool because the leaf is reflected in the water, but it also looks like just a plant with a blue background.

I really like this picture because when I first looked at it, I thought the reflection of the plant was really part of the plant. The water is so clear and smooth, that I can't really tell which half is the reflection and which is the actual plant. I had to look closely to see the difference. I also like the contrast of the color of green throughout the plant. My eyes are attracted to the darker color of the underneath of the plant. I wish I could see the rest of the plant to get more of a visual effect. But overall, the picture is very soothing and makes me feel calm.

This photo looks like an illusion. At a glance, it is difficult to tell where the real plant ends and the reflection begins. This adds a nice visual effect. I also like the positioning of the plant. The subject of the photo only takes up about 2/3 of the page. My eye is drawn to the left hand 1/3 portion of the page. The photo has a very serene and halcyon effect. > MH SPHS

This is a very cool picture. I like the mirror-like image in the water and the (fog?) in the background. I kind of wish there some ripples or something though. Overall, very nice picture. Good exposure and very nice clarity.

i think this picture is perfect,i just love the whole picture. the reflection of the leaves reminds me of when i used to go fishing, so i think this is really cool. i also like how still the water is, it almost loos like glass.

This picture is really good. The reflection is amazing to me because i can see the green of the leaf in it. I also like how the water changes color to brighter at the bottom. The leafs aren't perfect which makes it look so real. Good job!

This is a very nice picture. I'm still not sure what to think about it though. The only thing that takes away from the picture is that the water has no flow and life within it. The reflection really takes the life out of the picture.

The way that the leaf of the plant is barely dipped in the water really adds to the effect of the picture. The reflection in the water, and the light blue of the water really put me in a relaxing mood. The lack of excess activity in this picture really makes it a wonderful photograph.

I like the use of reflection, one of the elements of composition, you really executed it nicely. The water is so still which is great because you can actually make out every detail of the leaves and their veining and undersides. I don’t really see the effect of HDR in this picture, it sort of looks just like a normal picture. The lighting is pretty much dead on where it needs to be though, so that’s fine. Overall I think this picture is alright.

This picture looks really cool. Almost looks like the flower is inside of the sky but it really isn't the plant is just in the water which is what is so cool about it. the reflection looks cool in the water because it almost looks like there is two plants, but there is just one plant.
