Faces

Contributed by T Williams

I took this picture of two of my friends. Ran a levels and black/white filter.

nice organization of the forms. The contemplative looks on their faces along with their positions eludes to a relationship and a story. The DOF looks good with the soft focus on the back figure.

A couple of nits would be the watch, which distracts a little and the crop on the forward face that feels a bit crowed to me. I actually think it improves if cropped a little closer to the nose for some reason.

Good work on good subject. I would like to see more of this from you, looking at the idea of relationships.

This is really interesting. i cant figure out the relationship because the emotion im getting is so deep and complex. i like how you captured this. there is nothing in the background to distract from the subjects, but i agree the watch seems out of place (even though i've never seen brian with out his watch). This is really good because it can be interpreted in so many different ways.:)

I like that I'm in this photo, and the way that its black and white. It seems to capture more than if it was in color. BF SPHS

I like this photo because you can feel the emotions through the picture. Changing it to black and white added a more serious and dramatic appeal to the photo. The eye expression and body language makes this photo interesting.

I like the emotion captured in this photo. The way they’re both sitting is great, I just wish the girl’s mouth was in the photo to give it even more emotion. I love the way the girl’s face in the front is brighter than the other person’s, it really makes it pop out. -Suki T-PHS

This picture is wonderful/ I like how the subjects aren’t looking directly at the camera, close up and rule of thirds was used perfectly for this picture, I love how the black and white gives it a nice tone to the picture.

I like that this picture is close up on the faces because it shows more emotion and makes you wonder what they are looking at. Really good job !
