Guitar

Contributed by J McDaniel

I took this picture for the theme, music. It's my brother's guitar, again, and I really like how this photo turned out. I think the shapes and lines create a really interesting image, without becoming too distracting.

I like this photo because it zooms in extremely close to the object. I like the shadows from the strings. it was well thought out. BF sphs

I had to read the description to have any clue what this was a picture of. I kinda like that though. Very little of the actual subject can be seen, and I think that this is the most interesting photo of a guitar that I have ever. The strings are really interesting because they kind of fade out into the corner, so they're not a huge part of the photo. I also like the shimmer effect on the neck, it makes it look sort of surreal.
I think the angle is doing something funny to the photo though, because if you look at it the neck looks almost unattached from the rest of the guitar. It's not necessarily a bad effect, just sort of strange.

For such a repetitively done shot I like it. A creative angle for such a nice guitar. The colors are pretty nice but it might have been nicer a tad darker. I like how the strings slowly blur out as your going down the fret board. It seems like its just a mutual mood.

I like that the picture is a close up but its not extremely too close up where you cant tell what the object is.

i love how the lines are all going out of focus. the grain of the wood is so awesome.

This picture is really interesting. I like how all of the lines are going in different directions which makes the picture fun. The color puts me in a mellow mood which I really like. My eyes automatically look at the detail lines below the neck which is really nice.

I agree - the lines of the strings and their shadows create really interesting shapes across the surface. I'm also glad you left it in color, because the mix of brown and orange creates a nice relaxed tone. -JB

I really like the lighting how it casts a abnormal shadow. This photo excels at filling the frame and the focus is very clear. I just want to keep staring at the photo very interesting.

I love all the different lines used in the picture and the lighting is bright enough and makes the photo very warm. I really like the way the picture was put together.

This picture is really nice. The lines and shapes are interesting and the colors and softness create a warm tone. It's good for the music theme. I like it!

this is a really nice photograph, i like the strong diagonals and the reflection of the lines in the neck of the guitar. the color of the composition is lovely, it feels warm and welcoming, giving life to an otherwise non-living thing. great job, this is a great example of shallow depth of field.

I like the focus of this picture, but it would have been better if you showed a little more of the guitar. You can tell what the picture is of but it would have been cooler if you showed a little more guitar strings. The exposure is good but it looks like it’s a little bright in some spots where it’s not supposed to be.
