Lake Neverland

Contributed by T Hemby

I took this shot of a lake near Riverchase that me and several friends have always called Neverland. I did a levels adjustment, and converted it to sepia tone.

I think this is a beautiful scenary. I like how the trees are reflected in the water. This picture has a very calm atmosphere. I also like the sephia tone that was added because it really creates the contrast beween light and dark. The perspective the picture was taken is also very interesting. great job!

i really like this photo. it is very calm and serene. i like the angle you took the photo in because it gets the trees, lake and grass in the shot. the levels adjustment and the sepia color add to the photo and it makes the reflection of the trees on the water look cool. overall great job!

This photo is really cool. The reflection in the water looks amazing. he way the lake goes all the way down the picture it instantly leads your eyes along its path and makes you wonder what's at the end of it. Also, the sepia tone really makes it look like this picture was taken right at dawn which is a great addition to the photo. Great shot! PT-SPHS

Dude,
Neverland is my favorite place in the world. Anyway, I really like this picture. The Sepia tone works well, and the reflections of the trees on the water looks cool. I like how your eyes are guided down the river by the trees.

Great picture, and great place.

Really smooth photo. The levels adjustment and sepia tone works well and makes it much more interesting. I like how the reflection in the water is almost symmetrical to the trees. Awesome.

This picture is really cool!!! I like how the color is tinted and not have many bright colors. I also love the reflection of the trees on the water and then the stream going around the reflections. In all I really like this picture.

I really like this picture. It looks like the camera is set in sephia. I love how the sky is bright and it makes the other objects bold and standout. I a;so love the tone to this picture. I like how this picture is really simple and the stream is like an ongoing river.

I like the sepia tone of this picture. It gives it an old value to it. I like how there is a reflection of the trees in the lake. It's pretty cool. I also like the angle of where this picture was shot.

Simple and reflective i love it! what a clear day you picked for that picture. the sharpness of the picture is cool, but i just think that you should have done less editing.

I really like the adjustments you did to this picture. The reflection in the water makes the picture, and I like the linear view down the lake. As I already said, the levels adjustment works really well with this picture, and gives it a somewhat surreal feeling. However, I think a different shot angle could really change this picture. If you had focused on the open spot of the trees (near the lightpost on the left of the picture) and moved that into one of the intersections of the horizontal and vertical thirds, it could provide an interesting subject. Good job on the picture.

This is a really pretty picture, I really like the sepia effect on the picture it gives it an old value and also the reflection of the trees onto the water are very pretty also. I also like how the left side of trees on the lake go from focus to unfocused and then the right side of trees on the right are unfocused and you only see a dark brown for the other trees.

This is a really nice photo. The scenary is beautiful. I like the leading lines in the picture, because they add depth to the picture and make the lake look like it is never ending. The reflection adds a symmetrical effect. The sepia tone is perfect.

This is a really great picture. I have actually been by this lake and thought that it was very pretty. I think you did a great job of capturing the whole lake due to the great perspective you took the photo from. The reflection of the trees in the water is really awesome. I also like how the trees lead your eyes into the picture and then fade into the sky as the picture goes on. The sepia tone is also a great addition. Really really good job Tyler. ATP SPHS

This is a really good picture. I like how you can see the reflection of the trees and sky from the water. I also like how the picture was converted to sepia. It gives me a really calm and relaxed feeling about the picture. I also like how the lake seems to disappear at the edge of the picture. This was a really good picture.

I think this is a beautiful picture. I think the sepia tone was the correct choice to convert it to, and the picture flows together very smoothly. The reflection of the trees on the pretty water is also a great addition to the photo.

This picture is beautiful! I love the sepia tone, which really adds to the mood. The diagonal line of the tree tops and the reflection in the waters draws your eye around the whole photo.

I really like the reflective symmetry in this photo. The lake is so still and nothing is disturbing it. The sepia color makes the photo look very old and it's interesting. Looking at the photo makes me feel calm and nonchalant. Also, the depth in this photo is amazing and my eyes are guided down the river. Good job!

I really like this photo because I like the reflection it has on lake. The way you took this picture makes it look like this lake is a never ending lake. I also like how you changed the color to sepia but at the same time i would of done alittle more contrast with the bright and dark areas.

I love that you used sepia as your tone instead of the normal setting. It gives it a more soft and subtle look. Although Black and White would have looked good also, I definitely think that the sepia tone is what makes the picture unique, and all the more breath taking. When you look at this picture, it makes you stop what you are doing and take a breather. Like everything frustrating and busy around you stops, and all that remains is an incredible calm. REALLY good work!

P.S. I really like "Lake Neverland". I can see why you would name it that.

The photograph really is appealing to the eye. The way you captured the reflection of the water and the stillness of the river it is very impressive. The angle that you have taken this picture I really enjoy. The lighting is close to perfect focus and quality is amazing it really sets the mood of the picture.

I like this photo, the way the lake dissipates in the background and the angle of the vanishing point is fantastic. The way the reflection of the trees is on the water is also eye catching as well. Great job on the shot. W.H.

I've been to this lake and I think you did a really cool job with capturing what it's like to be there. The reflection of the trees into the water is really cool. The way the tree line comes together gives a great sense of depth too. Awesome pic. MB. SPHS.

This picture has a nice atmospheric perspective but i think it would look cool in color also. I also like that this photo has linear perspective because the trees are bigger the closer it is to the camera and they get smaller, and leads your eye to one point.

I LIKE THIS PICTURE. I LIKE THE SEPIA TONE IT MAKES IT LOOK COOL. I LIKE THE REFLECTION ON THE LAKE. I LIKE THIS PICTURE IS PERFECT HOW IT IS AND WOULDN'T CHANGE ANYTHING. THE ANGLE IS PERFECT TOO.

I love this picture because there are so many creative techniques in it. First and for most I like the leading line the lake crates down the picture. I especially like how the leading line starts from the corner of the picture instead of right don the center. I also love the reflections the trees cast into the water. It makes the photo even more unique. The color just tops of the whole picture giving it a sort of whimsical look and completing your idea of the Neverland aspect.

I really like the way the colors look in this picture. The dark tree’s against the light sky really makes them stand out. The reflection in the water makes an even cooler look to the photo.

I really like this picture because it really has an olden day feel to it and I really like how you can see the shadows in the water perfectly. The element in this picture is leading lines because to me, the tree shadow in the water leads me all the way to the end of the picture. I like the color effect here, it looks nice.

This photo has a really nice use of sephia. This photo was perfect for that effect. The lake looks so nice, the water is flat and it reflects the trees nicely.

I just love this picture :) It has a nice deep depth of field and great lighting that makes the picture much more interesting. It almost has a leading feature to this picture because the river seems to trail off in the distance. To me, the picture is a good one for reflection and the appreciation of nature’s beauty.

This photo is interesting. Mostly because how calming it looks and the color of it makes it look unique. And the reflection of the trees in the water makes it look even more relaxing.
