Path of Lights

Contributed by C Avery

I took this picture while out doing my Signature Homes project, and I saw this place. After I took the picture I decided to play around with the hue and saturation. I like how the top is more saturated than the bottom.

I really like this photo. I love the leading lines in the picture. Also I like the Depth of field shown by the lights. The color looks good. It shows the gloomy feeling of the room.

I like the leading lines in the shot. They draw your eyes across the picture, which was excellent. The lights really do make the shot. Other than that, I do like the colors of the shot and the setting.

I like how the lights lead you further down the hallway. All the way down the hallway it is dark and leaves you wondering what is at the end. The hue and saturation was done perfect! It looks like a clean crisp image and is very professionally done. Good work! A.M. SPHS

I like this picture because is kind of has a mysterious look to it. It looks like it is leading into the depths of darkness and that gives it a good subject, the emptiness on the right side. It reminds me of one of the mystery shows with the supernatural houses.

I really like this photo. It has a ton of great aspects to it. I like all of the geometric shapes which really help to make it seem uniform. I also like the leading lines you created with many things in the photo. The leading lines are created by the windows, the lights, the floor, and the beams in the ceiling. This helps to lead your eyes throughout the whole picture. I also believe you took this shot from a really good perspective. Everything has really good placing. Great job overall. ATP SPHS

I think the dullness of the green and brown with the contrast of the bright lights, really bring out the picture. I also think that this picture would look great in black and white. Cool picture.sphs

I really like this picture and how the lighting is shown. I love old time pictures, because it's something new to us because we don't see it often. I also like the tone of this picture and the value.

Just by looking at the photo to me the lights kinda represent sadness to me. The colors of the picture make the lights look a little bad. i like the way the hue and saturation is in this picture. It really looks like a prison just a little bit.

I love this photo the lamps in a row remind me of a secret hallway leading to a mysterious place. I really like the dusty colors that the artist uses in this photograph. The only thing I would put in focus would be the floors because the blurriness takes away from the lamps and walls.but I like the fact that the words are out of focus because if they were in focus then it would subtract away from the rest of the photograph.

I like the feel of this picture. It has a creepy, mysterious feel to it. The angle is interesting, I think it is more effective than if you took it straight on. I really like the idea of this picture. Great job!

This photo reminds me of an asylum or a horror movie setting. The lighting is what makes the background so dramatic. It could also be an old jail cell. Very nice job.

The depth of field and lighting in this picture gives off a depressing and gloomy feeling. You did a great job portraying this scene into a picture.

I really like the leading lines. It makes the picture have a very organized feeling. The contrast between the lights and the night as well as the brown wood work is intense, but the picture maintains a soft look. Very good job!

This photo does a really good job of using lines to lead the viewers eyes through the picture. This picture also reminds me of the movie, The Green Mile. MB. SPHS.

I like the old look the picture has. The lights are a leading line as is the bricks on the ground. I also like how it is brighter on top than the bottom.

I really like this picture. I like how the lights make my eyes follow to the end of the hallway to the darkness. I also like how the hallway is kind of dim. Since it is not lit up very well it gives it a real feeling of a bad place. I also like how the jail cells helps my eyes follow the lights toward the end.

This photo is a great example of leading lines because both the lights and the columns draw the eye inward toward the end of the hall. You also did a good job with the lighting, it really sets the dark tone of the photograph.

I love the dark tone that this photo has. I like the colors, too, since they are warm, saturated, and have a nice contrast between them. The leading lines in this photo are very impressive both because of the lights diminishing size and the bars on the left wall.
