Sorry this is creepy...

Contributed by E McDougal

for this picture I lowered the saturation waaaay down so it looked kinda vintage and then brought back out all the blue in her eye. It gives a kind of demonic affect but I just can't look away...

I love this picture. The coloring is very calm and old like. I love how the eyes really stand out in this photo. I think this is a very great close up.

I love this one. The color is calm and subtle. the color forces your eyes to move to the dolls blue eye. its a great focal point. good job :)

Wow this is the creepiest thing I've ever seen.

this picture is really creepy, but there is something about it that makes me keep looking at it. it was a good decision to turn the saturation down, it makes the doll look like an antique. i like how the blue is the only vibrant color in the whole photo, it draws your attention directly to it. overall good photo.

I think this is a very creepy picture. Its like Chucky's bride. But I both like and dislike how blue and big the dolls eyes are. You are very correct in saying it has a demonic effect. The saturation is nice as well.

Even though this is creepy, I really love it! I think its cool how you only put half of the face, but the focus is still somewhat centered. The cream mesh fabric looks very crisp and sharp. This is an awesome picture and I would absolutely frame it and hang it in my room :) Very vintage.

Because of what was done the the eyes of the doll, this picture makes it seem as if there is a soul or something inside of the doll. Interesting how there is only one eye and half of the face showing. Even then the majority of the face is blurred out and the focus is on the eye. It points in eyes in that direction and captures me, making me not want to look away. I like it, a lot.

I really like this picture. The adjustments made to it kinda makes it a little demonic....kind of like a CHUCKIE DOLL!!!! But at the same time it looks very 1930s vintage, and a little angelic at the same time. I love how the doll's eyes stand out in the photo, and how there is just a hint of blue in her eyes. I think the picture could've been cropped a little more to capture half of the face of the doll a little more, but overall it's a beautiful picture. A.S.-SPHS

I really like this picture and how its really focused on a portion of the doll's face. I also like how the blue is really saturated and stands out against the beige. Its a really good picture.

I've never been a big fan of dolls (they're really creepy), but this is a great picture! I like the saturation and the levels. Good work with the depth of field. Good job overall.

Wow, this picture is really cool. If the eye were taken out, it would look like a scene that would be in a grandmother's attic or something. As a result, the eye really stands out, and it takes the photo from a sweet antique picture to something a little darker, and it is definitely the focal point. The color and other aspects of the eye make it look like it could come to life any second. The only thing that I would change about this photo is to make it a little wider. The narrowness of the crop feels a little forced. Great job!

This picture is really cool. I love how it's almost vintage looking but the doll's blue eye stands out! I don't like how the picture got cropped where you can only see half the face. It would of been cooler if you can see the whole face! But overall I really like the picture.

I really like this photo. I like how you used half of the dolls face and that the doll is at an angle. I also like your depth of field. I like how the focus is the one eye and the things that are closer are slightly blurry. Great job!

Granted this picture is a little on the creepy side i really love it! The crisp sharp focus of everything from the fabric framing her face to her eyelashes almost brings the picture to life. I love how you cut off half her face but you did it on sort of an angle which adds a unique aspect to the photo. The antique hue was a great idea! I love how her eye pops out at you immediately drawing your attention. Overall a great photo!

Creepy, a little, as you said, but still interesting. I like how you desaturated the face a bit and brought out the blue eyes. It looks very antique, and I like how the bottom half of the face is not in focused. Nice job. :) -EB from SPHS

I love how you made the doll look antique. It makes the blue eye stand out more! Even though the colors are all shades of tan, the shades stand out very well on their own! It is pretty creepy though! You could use this picture in a scary movie:)

I really like this picture. I like how you made it to where the eye is the main source of color, it draws the eye to that part of the picture. I also like the angle and how the part of the face is cropped off. I actually think the photo is cute, good job!

well your right this picture IS creepy. The eye is what gets me. the focus on the face is perfect and the lighting adds a very nice touch with the light coming through the bonnet. Good image.... and creepy

This picture is very... interesting to say the least. Its something that you would see out of a scary movie. Very nice and foreboding. Great lighting and good work on the saturation. A.M. - SPHS

I really love this picture. It caught my eye as I was scrolling down the page, and I couldn't stop looking at it too. The antique look you created with the low saturation is really nice. The color of the eye is interesting, but I really like it. I love the way you cropped the photo and the angle you took the picture. Great job.

This picture does send a chill down my back when i look into the doll's eye. What would have more given an evil look would have been to somehow change the blue eye to a red... But the blank stare into space does give a creepy feel to the image. The old antique look does this picture good.

This picture is so cool! I agree when you say that it's creepy but it is in a good way! The vintage look gives it that extra edge and I like the idea of bringing the color out in the eye. I also like how the edges are kind of blurred because it really takes your attention to the eye. Great job.

I really like this picture. I like the way that the saturation is low, and her eye is brought out. I also like the way her nose and mouth are a little out of focus whereas her eye is not. Great job!

The angle that the photo was taken is very eye appealing. How there is only one eye and half of the face showing in draws the viewer in and keeps their focus captivated. The majority of the face is blurred out and the focus is on the eye making the eye go in that direction. The lighting could have been a little lighter making the contrast between the crème lace and the porcelain face more distinctive.

I LOVE this. Just now when I pulled it up on the computer everyone was like "that's so creepy" but I find it to be quite awesome. I love the way the doll's skin matches the lace or whatever is around its head, and the way the nose and the lips are out of focus. It has this soft baby glow everywhere and then the eye is just so mesmerizing. Wow, it's just so cool!

I like the idea of the picture. Also, I like how close you got to the doll. The vintage look is cool, and the eye really stands out which is awesome. Great job!

I like this picture a lot. The creepy mood it gives is what makes the picture unique. I also like how the eye is the main focus of the whole picture even though there isn't really much to look at.

The focus is really sharp. The doll’s blue eye nearly pops out of the picture! I would like to see more of the dolls face though. Was nothing else in focus when you took this picture or something? VD-ERHS

This picture really caught my attention, but the eye is really creepy! It stands out because of the color of the blue and it adds more color to the picture then the color of the skin.

I really like the antique look of this picture. I think it adds to the feel of it. The blueness of the eye really makes it pop and it looks great. The way you shot from below the dolls face really adds to the creepiness of the picture.

Dolls give me the creeps but I really like this photo. The doll looks like an old vintage doll and I love that you brought back the blue in the eye. KSS SPHS

My eye immediately is drawn to the dolls eye. I hate dolls but i love this picture. It looks so vintage, it adds to the picture. The doll has that "soft" baby glow.
