The Marked Difference

Contributed by C Ellis

I took this picture for the drip photo assignment. I really like it because it looks different than everyone else's. I messed with the curves a little bit and cropped it in closer.

The drop on this picture is just amazing. The colors of black, red, and little bit of pink add a great touch to this photo. I like how the opening of the drop has an interesting shape. Also the reflection on the water is very nice.

I really like the detail and coloring of this picture. It looks really cool. I also like how the middle of the drop is black and contrasts with the rest.

I really like this picture. It almost seems like the water is glass. I also like how the water that splashed out is reflecting on the bottom, it turned out really good.

I love this photo because it is so crisp. The drip has an awesome shape and I love the ripples. The color is great too because of the red, black, and white contrast. Great job.

This is definatly one of the coolest drip photos i've seen from our class. The colors are very vibrant and add alot of contrast to the photo. Could the image inside the "black hole" be a reflection of something outside the photo? Or could it just be a reflection of the water onto itself? MB. SPHS.

I love this drip shot and the red coloring. I like how you cropped it close because it feels the frame and makes it look like the drip was really big. It is cool how the water splash is reflecting in the water. I also like how it is focused and detailed. very nice!

This picture is very pretty. The pink/red color brings the splash out. The shape of the splash is very interesting and the black part of the splash looks like a black hole.

I think this photo of the water drop is very cool. I love the color of the water and how you can see the reflection of the drops splash. I also like the shape the drop made and how it looks like a black hole.

Great splash picture the color really shows. This splash you took looks like an excellent plastic model. Great use of light and angle. The reflection in the water from when the slash was created looks like the outline of the area. You also have good shaded areas. Overall great picture.

Its amazing how these pictures always look so good. It really sucks when they are not in focus, but this one is! I like how this captured every detail in the splash. VD-ERHS

I know how hard it is to take these kinds of pictures and you did a really good job of it. I like the coloring you added to the water and how the top of the splash looks clear. The dark middle is also interesting. Good job!

This picture is so cool. The way that you were able to capture the drip amazes me. I really like the color scheme that you did, it adds a lot to the overall shot. Also the clarity that you were able to capture the water in is so good that it almost looks animated. I know that it takes a lot of lighting to get this kind of shot and I think you pulled that off very well.

This picture is really good. We're about to do a motion assignment and I was going to do something like this. Its good to see how a good one turned out. Great job!

I tried this photography technique as well. It is very hard to capture a water splash with enough light and quick shutter speed. You did a great job with the lighting and shadows on the droplets.

This picture is really neat! I like how it's only one drip but it looks like there is two puddles from one drip. I also like how it's really clear in the drip but then again very blurry on the outside of the puddle. All around I really like this picture.

This is a really interesting picture to look at. I really like the intense amount of detail in the splash. You can see all the individual water drops forming. I like the contrast of the white, black, and red. I also like how the splash is in an almost perfect circle.

The composition and colors in the photo are really well done. The way the textured drop is the focal point and the water is smoothed out filling the frame of the photo is really effective. The contrasting deep red and black make the photo to be very vibrant. The texture of this photo is really cool showing the movement of the water drop and how it keeps the water swirling around the outside of the initial drop. The photo is really clear and I really like it.

Fantastic shot, all I can say is that you did the very best thing to do..

This is such a difficult task for a picture and I think you captured it amazingly. It’s not to dark and you can actually see the splash.

I like this photo. I think that is is cool how the splash makes a black hole if you will. I like how smooth and crisp the photo is. The colors are very vibrant!

I like how you captured the photo while the splash was coming out and there is no drip in the middle. the color decision was a good one. I like how the black is where the splash is and the red is a good shade, not too bright or too dark. I really like this picture!

I really like this photo because of how crystal clear it is. It looks almost animated because of how the water is splashing up. I'm curious to know how you accomplished taking this photo. The colors that you used really make the picture really pop.

Absolutely amazing! Perfect timing to show the splash while it is still in its circle! I also love the effect of the red with the black center. The ripples add a neat change in the reflection as well. Great job! - AF SPHS
