Walking

Contributed by J McDaniel

I took this picture with my 35mm camera while I was walking to Central Park. I was hoping it would turn out ok because I like how one side is nature and the other side is a building. I think it turned out very nicely, so I didn't edit it.

I like this picture. I like how it looks like it was taken in the 70's. It gives it a good vintage look with the yellow undertones in the picture. Good job Janie!

Like the other post I like how the sky doesn't have a color. The angles of the buildings of the left side of the picture has great lines in it. Also I love the colors on this picture

This is an interesting photo - great job on being able to see the potential in a shot split between a natural scene and an urban setting. While it is a good picture, however, I think that you could have change the angle of the shot, taken the picture to capture different people, or something, that could have made this picture really stand out. While it is an interesting picture, I think it could have had more potential. Good job overall.

The colors of this picture is really cool looking. It's almost like sepia tone. How the picture is captured it almost looks like the picture is in slow motion. It could of been a little sharper image but it is still an okay focus.

I really like this picture! The way there is nature on one side and then buildings on the other creates great contrast. I think the cars and the people walking in the middle of the two things have a good effect. Also the way the buildings are angled make it look like they are leaning into the street. The colors are great, it creates an old-time antique feel. Good job :)

This picture is awesome! I love the faded rustic color and that the road is slightly off center. I also like that one side of the road is building and the other side is trees. Great Job!

This is such a cool picture! Great job for thinking up the idea of the buildings on one side and nature on the other! I really love the color. It gives it an almost vintage feel. I also like ow the road creates a leading line off into the distance. Overall this is a great picture that really captures city life.

I really like this photo. I think you did a great job with the contrast between nature and man made structures. The way it is simply separated by one street and you caught it in one shot is really great. I also like the tone of this picture. There are many yellows in it which give it an older touch to it. I think you did a really great job. Good stuff. ATP SPHS

I like this picture because it looks like it was taken in sepia and is a vintage looking photo. There are also some good leading lines with the trees, buildings, and cars on the road.

I really like this picture because of the almost "older" coloring and the fact that you have opposite themes on each side. Trees vs. skyscrapers. It's a great picture.

I -love- the use of color for this one. It's so faded and has such a vintage feel, it's hard to believe you didn't edit it. Great timing with the people walking across the street. Overall, very computer wallpaper-ish. I like it. -JB SPHS

This picture puts an entire perspective in my head of how the weather feels. I love how you adjusted the photo; it looks like a bright day. This seems like a picture that was taken a long time ago and was aged. I think that the people in the middle of the street are the focal point, because the lines on the road and the color that they’re wearing make them stick out the most. Great picture!

I love this picture. Like stated above, for the setting it is really cool how one side is nature and the other a building. It creates a good contrast, but more in depth. The colors in this photo are really warm and create a happy mood. The different textures are also very visible. They make the colors look more vibrant.

The color in this shot is perfect for the mood. I love that how its just a candid of every day life but yet so beautiful. The man vs nature theme plays out nicely as the trees contrast the buildings opposite of each other. Great shot!

I really like this picture. It looks like it's from the 60s or 70s. I also like the angle of the buildings but my favorite part of the picture is the dead trees which gives the picture a cool mood. Great picture!

This picture looks so cool for some reason. It’s like in the 60’s style, but everything matches together. There is a lot going on though. There should be a central point of interest.

I like this picture. I like how she captured the cars perfectly and how the people in the street are walking in unison. I also like the sepia tones and how the sky is so light blue. I also like it because the colors are pretty prominent. It's one of those pictures that was taken at the perfect time.

I like the contrast of nature and the city. Shows how mankind is living in harmony with nature. The sepia tone quality does make this picture look a little older, which is pretty neat. One thing I would have changed, however, is the angle on the shot. I know its on a busy street, but I think if this was taken looking straight down the dead center of the street could have given this picture a more divided feel and looked nicer. But still a great shot!

I like the color in this image, how the blues of the sky work with the sepia of the trees and buildings. I also like how the road is off center. I like the nature vs urban aspect of the photo.
