Broken

Contributed by H Camp

I took this in at the cemetery on 119. Changed the saturation of the angel and turned up the saturation of the grass.

I love how the angles color is bright and clear and how the back grass is blued. All the colors in the picture are pure and clear. the cracks in the angle make the picture look really cool. I think you chose a great place to take the picture the lighting is great.

I really like this picture. Good work on the rule of thirds. I like the contrast in the saturations. I love "ruined" artwork. The cracks give it so much character. Good job!

The broken statue in the cemetery seems like a good location for this photograph. Being that cemeteries are for bodies whose soul has "broken apart" from their physical forms. I can find myself making many allusions, metaphors, etc. with this picture as the backbone of it all.

I like how the eye is in a focal point and your eye moves to that part of the image because of the crack. The angel has good contrast to the grass in the background, and the picture is a very good example of a filling the screen.

This is a very cool picture. You can really see the details because of the saturation of the angel and grass. It really makes the angel the center of the picture. great job keep up the good work!

this picture is very interesting, the detail in the statue is perfect! the grass in the background makes the statue stand out, and the cracks keep my eyes interested.

This is an amazing picture. I really like it. I like the broken part of the face of the statue in the child and makes it more outstanding. Mbau sphs

I really like this shot, even though the crack through the eye is kind of creepy. Good use of filling the frame to make the eyes focus on the angel. I also like how it is off-center but the background is still distinguishable. Well done! AF SPHS

I really love how crisp this picture is. The white being offset by the green of the grass in the background is also really nice. The object itself has s sense of irony, being an angel and yet broken, which I see as a way to relate to the picture itself. Well done!

This picture is really cool. The cracks in the angel's face makes you wonder how it came to be. The grass really brings out the angel. Very interesting!!

I like the leading lines making you follow the cracked eye up and down the angel. Great photo.

I like the detail in the statue and how the crack over the left eye makes the angel having a crying appearance. The picture has very good exposure and the contrast between the white statue and the background grass is nice too. Really good picture! SB SPHS

I love how up close you got to the angel.I like the slightly above angle you got.The cracks through it make it even better.I wish the grass behind it was a bit brighter though to show the contrast between the white and green colors.

I really like the colors of this picture. The angel really pops from the green grass. I like how there are cracks. It gives me the idea that not everything or everyone is perfect. I think I would have maybe tried to focus more on the angel and made it more clear.

I like the white against the green in this. It really makes the angel pop. Also, I like the angle that the angel was taken at. It gives the idea that he is looking down and protecting the viewer.

I love the irony of this picture. The sweet angel, yet she's broken. Very nice story! I love how it came out.
