Contributed by S Baker

Another photo I took outside my house. I love the beginning of autumn!

I really like the contrast between the green in the background and the orange in the foreground. You could have brightened up the orange just a little bit to make it stand out just a tad more, just my opinion. But anyway..great job~

I really like the use of colors in this picture. I also like the contrast between the dead leaves on the background with the thriving leaves. It seems really bright and happy, even though it's a picture of dead leaves.

I really like this picture. The rule of thirds is executed very well. Also, I like the contrast of colors between the leaves in the foreground and background. The depth of field also works quite well. Good work.

This picture is a great way to start out autumn! I love how the main focused are the two golden leaves. I think its really cool how you blurred the twig. Continue taking great pictures! sphs e.w.

Great photo! The orange foreground leaves really stand out well against the green ones in the background. Also, the blur of the background contrasts well with the sharp foreground. I love the depth of the shot, great job! AF SPHS

I love this picture. it reminds me of the first days of fall. I like how the light is coming in from behind the leaf making it look gold and how the focus of the picture are the leaves that have already changed.

This is a great example of summer changing into autumn! I love the contrast of the orange against the green. I also like how the light hits the the orange leaf.

I like the focus in this picture - the colors of the leaves really stand out, and going with an out of focus background was a great idea. The shape of the twig and having the leaves hang off on the left side of the photo keep it from being boring or bland. Great Job

I really like how the brown leaves are just a little offset to to side and not completely in the center. They are still the focus of the shot and lets the contrast between the green leaves greater. Great shot! SB SPHS

I really like the contrast of the brown leaves on top of the green. I like that the focus is the brown leaves. It brings your attention straight to the brown leaves. I like how many more green leaves there are but your attention is brought to the brown leaves

I like how this photo may have dead leaves on it but they make the photo stand out most people probably think dead leaves, lets go with alive ones instead but I like how the colors look together to make it seem like its fall already.

I like how on the branch, there are only these four dead leaves. In the background all of the leaves are green & alive. Good use of the rule of thirds by putting the main focal point on the left side of the frame but still having the branch that it is on in the photo. I also like how the picture is not dark at all.

I like how the focus is on the leaves. I also really like how the light is shining through the leaves on the right, giving them a transparent look. I wish that you had had the light shining through both leaves. But overall, good job.

I love how the two orange leaves are focused and the green ones are blurred in the back. It makes for a very nice composition! The lines in the leaves are very pretty as well, and I especially like how the one on the left is curling. Lovely colors, and beautiful photo.

I like the depth of field in this picture because the green background is blurred and the orange leaves are in focus. It's almost as if you are trying to show that summer is ending and fall is on its way! I like that the orange leaves aren't centered and it looks like you used the rule of thirds. I also like that you can see the brown twig where the leaves are coming from, but it's not in focus. The dark vs light areas work, but I think you could've made the shadows a little darker. Overall, I think you took a great picture!

I love the cool colors in this photo, they contrast nicely with the warms of the leaves. the focus is perfect and I really like the balance created by the dry focused leaves.

I like the depth of field how just the couple brown leafs are in focus. I like the color contrast of the brown and the green. I like how all the leafs follow a curved pattern. The rule of thirds kinda of applys because of the depth of field. Good job.
