"Make like a tree..."

Contributed by S Baker

I took this photo outside my house on a day that I really shouldn't have been outside at all.. oops. I brightened the colors and edited out some smudges in the background.

I really like this picture. I love how you can't tell what's in the background at all. I also like how in focus the tree is and how detailed the bark looks.

I like the detail of the tree and the mystery of the background. The background is unclear to the viewer but the tree does a good ob of drawing your attention toward it.

The division in this picture is nice. There is a good contrast between the foreground and background. I also like the sharpness of the tree.

I like the focus on the tree and the contrast between the bark and the background. The tiny light colored moss is a great focal point and I like the way the colors in the bark are heightened.

i like the focus on the tree and i like how it doesnt take the whole screen. i wish you could tell what is behind the tree but other than that it is a well thought out picture

this picture is really great. the red in the color caught my eye cause you usually don't see that color a lot. and the background really adds to the picture. no complaints from me.

This photo is nice a clean, i love the way that you can see every detail of the bark and the background is blued. It seems like the photo is designed to focus your attention on the bark which is nice.

I love how you focused on the tree coat which looks great from the part of the view. The background looks great. Mbau sphs

I really like this picture. The contrast of focus is very well done. Good framing work in relation to the tree. Very nicely detailed. Good job.

Really cool photo. Great focus, and near perfect lighting, which is sometimes hard to do with nature shots. The different colors and shades on the tree compliment the rule of thirds nicely. Overall a great photo.

This is such a good picture. I like how you blurred the background and brightened the colors. I like how the tree is off to the side and not in the center. Good job.
