Pinwheel

Contributed by S Baker

A long exposure of a pig-shaped pinwheel at the fair. I'm really happy with how it turned out! I played around with the saturation and edited out some random smudges in the background.

I like the use of lighting in the picture and how it draws your attention to the red thing. I dislike not knowing what the red thing is.

The captured movement of the pinwheel spinning is good looking, but if it were mine, I would try to unbar some of the fans of the pinwheel to show the design's frame more.

I like the motion that is created in this picture, and also how the bright, warm colors contrast against the dark background. There is a nice usage of space also since the pinwheel is off to the right side, rather than centered. I also like how the shapes created in this picture are so different, since they make a normally structured object look very smooth and organic.

I liked this image - it's really simple, but that's one of the best parts about it. The long exposure added a cool effect to the pinwheel, and I like that there isn't distraction or filler in the background. Good job - Ross SPHS

I really enjoy the blur of the wheel in contrast to the black sky. The only thing I don't like are the ears off to the side. I'm not sure how that could be edited, but I feel like it would be more bazaar without them. Great job mom~! ;]

your work look awesome. I like how u made the red stand out in the pinwheel. I also like how the stick kinda look like a flower behind the wheel.

I really like this pinwheel image. I like the explosion of the bright colors flow of the pinwheel. The shape tells us more about how you thought about adding it background black. Mbau SPhs

The movement of the pinwheel and the red color gives it a nice contrast effect. Good use of the rule of thirds. I also like how the middle of the pin wheel looks almost flower like. Great Job!

I really like this picture. I, unlike the last commenter, like not being able to identify the subject. Not knowing this photograph is of a pinwheel turns this image into a completely abstract design, which is antithetical to the average interpretations of what photography is. It's a different type of photography. I've always liked abstract photography just for being different. I also like how the center of the pinwheel is full of streaks that break the otherwise mostly uniform spinning motion.

Every thing about this photo is good. The lighting. The out of focused low shutter speed. I think its low at least. but overall good photo.

I like how this doesn't really look like a pinwheel. It gives the picture and abstract kind of feel. I like the use of the rule of thirds and how the pinwheel is placed on the right side of the picture.

I love these colors! their contrast against the black black make them pop and catches your eye. whatever the object is in the middle draws my eye into the photo and keeps it interesting. good job!
