Graveyard Clearing

Contributed By R Collier

I took this picture in a series of pictures from a graveyard. The flowers really stood out among the bleak graves, and I love the shadows that are cast in this photo. I feel like it may be a tad bit empty, but I liked it.

I like how you caught the sun shining on the flowers which reminds me of happy and the other side that has the shadow is drearier. Overall good job!

I really like this picture. The flowers look really pretty with the sunlight hitting them and I like how the bright flowers stand out against the gray.

This is a great photo. I like the contrast formed from the shadow and the sunlight. The red of the flowers stands out against the shadow.

The sunlight through the tree is very beautiful. Its almost as if a sad and cruel place was turned into something beautiful just by the sun. I really enjoy this.

This is really cool. It's a graveyard, yet you have a distinct light shining through, contrasting the moral of the scene. I think I would have liked this better however if it had been taken at dawn.

This is a really good picture. The rule of thirds is executed very well. I love all the negative space. It's a graveyard, so the empty feeling fits. Good work.

I really like the complimentary colors of the red flowers against the green grass. It is a great focal point for the photo. I do agree with you, i wish there was more going on but the colors are beautiful. Nice job :)

I really like the contrast of the green colors surrounding the gray tombstones. I also like how you captured the suns rays hitting the ground. My favorite thing about this picture though is how you caught the bouquet in the picture. Overall it is a nice piece of work.

I like the leading lines created by the shadows, and how the light catches on the individual grass blades. It simple, there aren't many distractions. Nice.

This gives off a certain type of irony that is intriguing. The solemn feeling of a graveyard mixed with the sun and the vividness of the colors. Great job!

I really like this photo because it goes against what graveyards are supposed to look like. Lots of people believe graveyards are spooky, strange spine chilling places, but this shows a different side of the assumed.
