I really like this picture. I love how it's a sketch picture and not an actual visual. I love how it's just a simple picture. You did a really good job!
Composition is great, everything is in frame and balanced. I like how the bright colors of the signs stand out against the black of the jackets, but I'm not sure if the filter works for the entire picture. JB SPHS
I like what you did with this photo. Where did you get the ‘Team Fear’ and ‘Team Insanity’? I don’t like the ‘signs’ on the people’s backs as much as I thought I would, otherwise a very nice and appealing photo.
I really like this picture. The shadows make the picture look like an add and I really like how Capitol Hill(?) is in the background. The picture makes you think.. Sanity vs Fear. Good job! -JH, SPHS
This is an interesting use of your pictures; I think that most of the time we (at least, I know I do) shy away from filtering a photo too much and try instead to keep it looking natural and real. What you did with the filter really produces a cool graphic effect, and the contrast of the colors on the two signs is really interesting. The shadows make some cool lines with the filter effect, too. Nice picture and great job with the filtering.
The composition's great and I love the contrast between the neon lines and the black. There are nice lines that are occurring from the shadows as well. I especially love how the lettering on the jackets is so sharp against the black. Wonderful picture!
I can't really decide how I feel about this photo. Like Ross said, we usually shy away from the filters.. but I think we do that for a good reason. They often look over-edited. Even if you're not going for a "natural" look, the filters usually just ruin a photo.
That said, the filter doesn't really ruin this one, but it doesn't really capture my attention either. I love the composition an the subject of the photo, but the filtered editing makes me go "eh."
I'm thinking it's just the background now--the figures look great, but the background takes it a little over the top.
The text looks really cool, and so does the overall theme of the picture. I kind of wish that I could see more of what was going on around them though. It seems to be cropped too close to the subjects, so it gives it more of an edited feel to the already heavily edited photo. I really like the concept though. -SPHS CB
This high school photoblog is the product of the photography students at Spain Park High School in Hoover, Al.
Students take turns posting one of their images along with a brief explanation each school day. The students also trade critiques with their peers from other schools around the country (see high school blog links below).
We are always looking to expand our participating schools. If your photography program starts a blog, email Mr. Myers so he can add your link to our growing list. emyers@hoover.k12.al.us

The colors in this picture are nice. I also like the large amount of contrast in the image. The shadows are also very well done

I like how this photo was taken while they were in motion. I don't really know what their jackets mean, but it sounds cool and looks cool.

I like the 3d text on their jackets. I like how you made it seem to look cool. The choosing of color is the best. SPHS Mbau
I really like the glow on the jackets. The shadows also look cool.
This picture is a great representation of the world today and how technologically advanced we are.
