The Long Way

Contributed by I Khot

Walking home one night, I found a moth sitting on the wall and figured that it deserves a photograph. Particularly, I found the lighting in the photograph to be quite unique. I was surprised that it was not blurred even though it was taken in low lighting without a tripod.

I like the angle of your photograph. Looks nice.

This photo has such a lonely feeling to it. I think it's the lighting, and the way the stairs seem to extend to infinity, leaving the moth to look so deserted. It's probably also the scale of it (the moth looks so small / overwhelmed by the size of the world it is in). I especially like the placement of the moth in the frame. Overall, nicely done. Nice job at making an interesting photo out of a pretty mundane scenario. I certainly would have missed this opportunity. Good catch.
