Near Hit

Contributed by J Quinn

This picture was pure luck. I was with one of my friends from Homewood, we were walking around and heard a train coming, so we went and found it. I took a pic of it and loved how clear and crisp the train was when I saw the pic. I almost got hit by the train so it made me happy that I got the shot at all. I hope you all like it as much as I do.

Nice shot... looks like its coming right into my lap. We need to make it a 3D photo and get some of those red/blue glasses. Thanks for taking up the slack on the blog today.

Hey man, cool train.
I like the color contrast, and I'm glad you didn't die. Wouldn't that suck? Yes. The answer to that question is yes.

Pretty sweet shot, like the 3D effect, causesyour eye to move. Good job.

This is a great photo, I would imagine this was not an easy shot to make without blurring the train.

Very nice shot! The contrast between the train and the surrounding greenery is superb. The placement of the train and the tracks in the frame is also perfect, IMHO. The only two things I could ask for are a wider angle (its cropped kind of tight, but maybe you didn't have much scenery to work with) and a blue sky with pretty clouds. In all, yes you were lucky to be there, but I commend you for having the skills to take advantage of the opportunity.
