I took this picture downtown. These flowers were just in the middle of the sidewalk. These flowers caught my eye very fast. I like how the image looks three dimensional. I also like the colors of the flowers and i like the blur in front and in the back but with the focus at the very colorful part of the flower

Your flowers really are nice, and the 3D effect seems good. However, the yellow stripes in the background are distracting. Maybe you could take them out in photoshop?

personally I like the yellow lines. they move my eye around a litttle bit more like from the edge back to the middle. they also add a little more color contrast. overall good job. I like it.

Like Franklin, I like the yellow lines, too. In fact, I have looked at this image for a few days now... and can't figure out why I like it, but I do. All of the technical aspects (to me) say that it SHOULDN'T work at all ... but for whatever reason it appeals to me and I keep coming back to it... trying to "figure it out". The only thing that I'd delete was the dark patch in the upper right corner. It's bothersome. Otherwise, nice photo.
I have been persuaded to like this shot myself. Like JReyes, all instincts say to not like it. I would have gotten over this sooner if it were not for the large dark blob at the top. Without that it is actually kind of nice. Get out the clone stamp tool!
