This pic was taken when my brother and I were washing our garage. The bottom of the pic was water on-top of oil from my car. The top of the pic was of a bush and the sky. The pic was really of moving water. I took this because i was thinking it might of be cool. Also because it reminds me of a movie of some kind. This pic was hard to focus in because of the oil and because it was moving.

I really wish this photograph had some more detail and contrast. The composition is good, but you may want to try using closeup lenses on a shot like this.
I like the concept, and I definitely like the texture. The contours on the bottom left side of the photo are really interesting. However, having nothing in focus + the brightness of the top of the image leave some things to be desired.
I like the image but I agree it needs something more. If you could catch a reflection of something in the liquid it could really add tons of content. I can almost make out trees in this image but the over-expossure blew out any details. I think a skyscraper or obscure figure might be interesting. you might set up something and try to retake this one. I think there is potential in the idea.
You did not give us any clues about this picture. It looks like mercury to me. I must agree with Myers that some reflected object(s) in the shiniest part of the liquid would add tremendous interest. I do like the textural feel of this shot - it just seems to need a little more visual interest to move your eye around.
