I took this picture in my house in a makeshift studio. I used a regular lamp without a shade as lighting. It took me a few tries to get a shot of right when the apple hit the water. I really like the way the water looks.

amazing photo
i like the water effect and the white towel and the dark background.
this must have taken u a million tries
I'm in awe of this photograph. To start off, the composition of fantastic. The black background and white foreground really draw your eye and allow it to center in on the apple and the droplets of water. Once your eye works it's way around the initial subject it works it's way back to the fine details of the water and the splash effects. I relaly like hte way the water gleams off the droplets and the ripples. Good job, Brett.

I like this one. it show nice initiative to go through all the set up and stuff you did. I like the black background with the white/transparent makes for some good contrast. keep it up.

The red apple really stands out against the white plate and black background however, the white towel seems to distract a little from the rest of the contrast in the picture. I love the clarity of the apple. You did a good job setting your shutter speed. Good job!

Great job on taking the initiative in setting up your own studio space and doing a bit of experimentation. I think your image came out very nicely. I wish you had used a uniform black backdrop, the white towel distracts from the composition. Perhaps trying this again in the class studio.
this picture is so good. the lighting and focus are perfect. it looks pro.
I love this photo :)
The red, black and white colors really blend well together. In my opinion, this photo would be better without the white towel making the plate disappear. I like the way water looks when it's in the air like that and you did a great job getting a shot of that.
I love these shots of splashing water especially with clarity like this.
I think that the light is a little bit harsh in this shot and the white towel somewhat takes away from the splash droplets and it washes out the white dish too. I think that a complete white background would be more suitable.
The sharpness of the photo is great though and I like how the water is shill connected to the apple, like it’s trying to hold onto it.
The apple and the black and white remind me of Twilight and the contrast in colors here is appealing to the eye.
