Leaf it alone

Contributed by B Aaron

I took this photo for the Fall Colors assignment. It was taken in my neighbor's front yard. I like how the main leave is in focus and everything else is blurry. I don't know...maybe the hole in the leave symbolizes emptiness or something. Maybe a caterpillar was hungry.

This shot is alright in my opion, you should have used a larger aperture so the front of the leaf wouldnt have been out of focus, or just moved the shot back a little to get the whole leaf in, the hole in the leaf creates an eye sore for me. It would be better if the leaf were not broken.

the only two things i find wrong with this is your attempt to spelling "leaf" or "leaves." second, this looks really photoshopped. but maybe that's a good thing, because the colors are very fun and vibrant.

I can't believe I spelled leaf wrong...

I'm gonna go jump off something high.

Don't jump, please (are there things that are high enough in Alabama? I have never been there... we have big mountains up in WA).

Some of my favorite photos are like this where you get in close to a leaf to see what has happened to it. I like the idea you have. It might stand out better against a different background color, but we can't always control that part of a shot. Good job.
