This picture I took while walking from my car to my house and it was a dull day. The lighting was right and it looked much darker on my camera, but the grayscale effect really makes your eye study it. By itself, its just a stairwell from under my house, but angled like that, and the light from the clouds at the top really show up well. I really liked this shot, though it is mundane. Tell me what you think.

I like the shot it leads your eye back and has an interesting depth effect. But the trees and sky in the back make yours eyes whip to it and you forget all about the stairs. it is a pretty good picture over all though.

Nice choice on turing the camera on its side, I think it looks better that way. Nice lighting too. Overall, I like this shot.

so since it was a dull day, does that mean you were supposed to take dull pictures? i don't find this to be visually appealing at all.

well, i don't see any clouds in the sky, that's probably because when you grayscaled the photo they molded together. next time, either don't mention the clouds as if u can see them in the picture, or don't grayscale it. also i agree with the other comments that having the tree there detracts from the stairwell, but obviously you couldn't go chop down that tree for a better photo. while tilting the camera has an interesting effect in this picture it makes me want to turn my whole head... it hurts my neck... i think this is an ok picture, i like the idea, just strive to better yourself in the future, think about all of the little details.

I agree with the above comment about the head tilting, photographs with such prominent straight lines should be shot going with the lines and not against them, it angers the visual part of your mind. I as well do not see any clouds.
