Tumblin' Dice

Contributed by K Gillespie

I took this picture in the studio. I obviously used the reflection glass. At times, I could get the dice to stand on each other that way and I liked the way it looked with the reflection. I also used rule of thirds and I just thought it was an all-around cool shot. Tell me what you think.

this picture's neat. the subject(s) are in focus.. in my opinion it would look better if there were only two dice instead of four. but either way, i like it a lot.

Just to be different, I have to say I'd like it better with 3 dice! Having two perfectly balanced stacks of two looks somewhat staged, plus the odd number of 3 is more appealing. I love the reflection in the glass, and the monotone b & w. Very good.

The reflection is great. It appears that you took some time to create this photo, and your work turned out great. I am not sure how I like the empty spot to the right, but it helps add tot he reflection. The dice cut off at the top along with the empty area at the right implies that there is more to the photo. Nice work.

I hope thats not marijuana in J White's photograph. if I could make a suggestion It would be really moving if you put a picture of a baby behind the smoker. Like the babies don't smoke one, very moving.
